We’re on the lookout for one, or possibly two special people to join our team and support our amazing daughter, Ella.
Ella is 19, but developmentally still very much a child, so we’re really looking for someone who understands that balance, someone who can support her with care needs while also bringing fun, energy and warmth into her world.
Experience with SEN children (or adults with similar needs) would be brilliant, but it’s not essential as full training can be given. The right personality matters more than a perfect CV.
Hours:
We can offer up to 40 hours per week (possibly more) for the right person, or we’re happy to split the hours between two carers. The role is Monday–Friday.
The role will include:
• Personal care (including bathing, dressing and toileting)
• Morning and bedtime routines
• Supporting with feeding
• Driving Ella to and from college (twice a week)
• Days out and activities
• Helping her enjoy life to the fullest
A driving licence is essential, and you’ll be able to drive our wheelchair accessible vehicle.
Funding is through Continuing Healthcare and will be £12.71 from April
About us:
We’re a welcoming, laid-back, fun family who love laughter and making memories.
We’re looking for someone reliable and consistent who can gently slot into our family life, someone who will show up, be present and build a genuine connection with Ella.
This isn’t just a job to us; it’s inviting someone into our home and our daughter’s world.
If you’re kind, dependable, patient, and don’t mind a bit of silliness along the way, we’d absolutely love to hear from you.
Please get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself and why you feel this role would be a good fit.
We can’t wait to meet you!
