A message to all our followers and friends of the moving plaice. As a family we have decided that this week will be our last week of business. We have had 6 wonderful years of frying for you all and have made so many great friends. We are proud that we were there through covid, at your weddings, special birthdays and wakes to dear customers we lost on the way. We took part in the clapping and special deals for all our front line service providers. Thank you for all you still do. Our family commitments have to be shared in different ways and we need time to ensure that we all get that time together
We hope to see you all Tuesday at Grundisburgh- Wednesday at Orford and Friday at Otley.
Thank you to each and everyone of you for your support and fun, we will miss you all.

Thank you to all the people who came to see us at the van today at the fun day and asked us why we are leaving kesgrave. We are a family run business who live in kesgrave and have enjoyed serving you for past 5 years and before that. We did all we could during covid with deliveries and supporting the emergency workers (of which the director is one) like all good things they have to come to an end. We are grateful to our son in law for his commitment to running the business and he like many young people today has a young family to look after. 5 days a week he does not put the children to bed and it’s time that we gave him the work life balance so that he can now at least contribute to family life. We are not getting any younger either and it’s time we took a back step so The moving plaice is up for sale. We hope someone will look after our very valued customers as we believe we have. As much as it hurts us to move on it’s a great little business and serves other villages with regular customers Again we thank everyone for allowing us to cater for you at sites and also your special occasions, weddings, parties and everything in between.

URGENT NEWS…‼️

Regrettably I’m having to inform you all that as of the week beginning the 30th June will be our final week we will be attending both Mondays (Sutton) and Thursdays (Kesgrave). Unfortunately due to a change of circumstances we have taken the decision to indefinitely close at both sites! We will continue to open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

First of all I’d like to personally thank everyone for their continued custom at both sites, I have met some amazing people and had a great time providing fish and chips to you all and I hope to see you all over the next/ our last 2 weeks!

A couple of days late to post but we just wanted to comment on the children/teens that we serve in Grunisburgh, each one are incredibly polite and well mannered! As their parents, you should be so proud, you have raised amazing children💗

Apologies for the short notice but we are closed tonight due to arriving to otley and being unable to park in the village hall car park due to it being closed
The logistics of going back to get our generator and back again would’ve made us too late
