May’s featured flower is here: the peony!

Known for its large, stunning blooms and a lovely, sweet fragrance, it truly captures the eye and senses. But beyond its beauty, the peony carries a rich history dating back over 2,000 years. It has been a symbol of wealth, honour, romance, and quiet strength, cherished by emperors, celebrated in art, and used in ancient medicine.

There’s so much more to this beautiful flower than meets the eye!

April’s bouquet of the month has arrived.

This month’s leading lady is the anemone. All drama. All allure. That inky centre pulls you in. Petals as crisp as bone china. The sort of flower that makes you pause mid thought and stare just a little too long.

And quietly, behind the scenes, I’ve planted my very first anemones in the garden this season. A hopeful little experiment. Equal parts optimism and mild panic. We shall see. 🤞🌱

What I love most about her is this. Before she became the darling of florists and dinner tables, she had a rather different reputation. Chinese herbalists and Native American practitioners turned to her for healing. Think inflammation, aches, skin troubles. Beauty with purpose.

April’s collection is now live. Ready when you are.

Meet the anemone—one of my quiet favourites.

They call her the daughter of the wind, from the Greek ánemos. The Anemone are nyctinastic; they open to face the sun during the day and turn their heads downward at night. They keep growing even after they’re cut.

With its eye-catching centre, I couldn't help but make it the hero flower of April.

Because some love stories don't need drama. They just need showing up, every spring, reliable as a bulb. 💛

Introducing Golden Sunrise. Bouquet for March.

March’s flower of the month is the daffodil. A flower that has travelled through centuries of story and symbolism. From Egyptian tomb paintings to Persian poetry and British spring gardens. Always a sign of renewal and the turning of the season.

As we approach the Spring Equinox on 20th March, the daffodil reminds us that the light is returning.

Golden Sunrise brings together Dutch Master, Ice Follies, Pink Perfection and Romantic Paradise daffodils with forsythia, viburnum, ranunculus and feverfew. Each bouquet arrives with a handwritten letter and keepsake postcard.

A celebration of spring and the stories flowers carry.

March’s Ingredients. 🌿

Every bouquet begins somewhere. This one began on a walk through Christchurch Park, that particular moment when you feel the season shifting beneath your feet before you can name it. New light. Bare branches holding their breath. The quiet promise of something returning.

Each stem here was chosen deliberately. Not just for beauty, but for what it carries.

Forsythia, because it blooms before its leaves arrive pure, unapologetic optimism. Dutch Master and Ice Follies, the great daffodils of March, ancient and medicinal and quietly extraordinary. Romantic Paradise and Pink Perfection, softer, more unexpected, proof that this flower contains multitudes. Viburnum Sneeuwbal for structure and that impossible lime green. Ranunculus Kloon Cream for tenderness. Tanacetum for wildness. Eucalyptus for breath and space.

My ethnobotany journey has changed the way I hold flowers. They are no longer simply pretty things in a vase. Each one has a story, ecological, ancestral, medicinal and understanding that story makes the act of arranging feel like something closer to translation than decoration.

March, in all its ingredients. 🌼
