MY STORY…
My name is Mihaly Biro, also known as DJ Misi, founder of StarLight Music & Events.
I bring over 35 years of experience as a club, wedding, and event DJ. I hold an official DJ qualification from Hungary (OSZK) and have dedicated my life to creating unforgettable musical experiences.
My passion for music began in the early 1980s with a small school radio project. When I organized my first school dance, I instantly knew that being a DJ was my true calling. Soon after, I started receiving regular invitations to perform at local events, festivals, and community celebrations.
Even without professional gear—often playing on borrowed equipment—I was driven by pure passion. The ’80s shaped my musical roots through Italo Disco, Funky, and Classic 70s grooves, and even as a young DJ, I quickly learned how to read the crowd and keep the dance floor alive.
By the ’90s, I was working full-time as a DJ across Hungary’s club scene. I often managed my own equipment setup, from wiring to maintenance, ensuring every event sounded and looked perfect. Although I occasionally appeared on local radio, my heart always belonged to the nightlife.
For three years, I held a resident DJ position, performing nearly every single night—missing only two shows in total! (A pace I wouldn’t recommend today, as I later learned the importance of balance and self-care.)
In 2007, life brought me to Scotland, and while my full-time DJ career paused, my passion never faded. Over the years, I built a new, professional-grade sound and lighting setup and restarted performing at private parties, weddings, birthdays, and corporate events.
Today, through StarLight Music & Events, I proudly continue this journey—combining experience, technology, and passion to deliver exceptional entertainment.
I’m a versatile, open-format DJ comfortable with any musical style—from Retro Disco and Funky Classics to House, Trance, Techno, and today’s EDM hits. Every set I play is tailored to the crowd’s vibe, ensuring that each guest enjoys a unique, unforgettable experience.
