What a FUN Science Sunday we had!🧪🔬⚗️✨

Our building and construction STEM session was full of creativity, laughter, and some seriously impressive creations 🛠️🏗️🧱 A huge shoutout to our amazing ambassador Kirsty Pryer for being absolutely fantastic 👩‍🔬

It was so lovely to see families coming along, getting stuck in, and spending quality time together 💛

We run these drop in sessions every last Sunday of the month, 11am to 3pm at Eastgate Shopping Centre, so don’t miss the next one 📅

🌟 Science Sunday – All Year Round! 🌟

On the last Sunday of every month at Eastgate Shopping Centre, we’re grateful to have Kirsty, our STEM Ambassador, volunteering with us. Today’s theme was static electricity, and the kids had a blast learning how it works through fun experiments! ⚡✨

The plasma ball was a huge hit, and trying out the static comb and tissue paper was brand new (and exciting!) for many of the children.

We’ll be back at the end of March … see you then!

🔬Science Sundays are back at Eastgate! 🔬

This month, we were joined by Kirsty, STEM Ambassador, for an exciting session all about circuits ⚡🔋! The children were so engaged 👧🧑, and the parents joined in too 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 a brilliant activity for the whole family 🏠💡

Kick off the new year with free, hands-on science fun for the whole family.
In January, we’re diving into the world of Circuits ⚡

Kids can discover how electricity flows, learn how everyday devices work, and even create their own simple circuits through exciting, practical activities.

🎄 Santa’s Sleigh Station with Nevis Club at Eastgate Shopping Centre … What a Festive Fun! 🎄

We had an absolutely wonderful time hosting our Sleigh Stations on 7th, 14th, and 21st December! From festive crafting to joyful activities, our cheerful Miss Elf Jingle Joy brought plenty of Christmas magic to everyone who joined us. 💚✨

Highlight of the event: our instant photo snaps! 📸 The kids loved it and so did the parents!

A huge thank you to all the children, families, and helpers who made it so special. Your smiles and laughter truly made the season bright!

We’re now all wrapped up for this year, and we hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🎅🎁

🎨 Nevis Kids Club at Eastgate Shopping Centre🎄

This Sunday, the Nevis Club was full of festive fun! Children enjoyed biscuits, tasty treats, and got wonderfully messy with toppings and decorations, all made by them!

✨ Join us next Sunday from 12–4 for a brand new activity with Nevis Club: arts, crafts, and all things creative to get us into the Christmas spirit.

We’re situated next to The Entertainer (toy shop) come and visit us for fun, creativity, and festive cheer! 🎅🎁

🎉 Final Science Sunday at Eastgate Shopping Centre Nevis Kid Club! 🔬

What a fantastic way to wrap up 2024 with 11 super fun sessions of science experiments! This Sunday, we finished with the coolest, funnest activities of all: SCIENCE SLIME, plus exciting experiments like battery-powered lights and clocks using lemons and yes, it really works! 🍋💡

🧪 Fun facts about slime (since it was a hit!):
• Slime is non-Newtonian, meaning it can act like a solid or a liquid depending on how you handle it.
• You can stretch it, squish it, and even bounce it—but don’t eat it!
• Making slime is all about mixing polymers, which are long chains of molecules that give slime its stretchy texture.

A huge thank you to our amazing assistant Abi Maclean and STEM ambassador Kirsty Pryer, who’s full of science wisdom and super fun to work with! 🌟

We can’t wait to see all our young scientists again in 2025! 🧫✨
