The Christmas season is when we turn into ‘WinterWoodz’ and at weekends Wildwoodz is transformed into a magical setting worthy of a movie set, perfect for a traditional festive family day out. Whilst exploring deep in our woods we discovered the location of one of Santa’s secret magic postboxes, the postbox that his elves collect from to take children’s Christmas letters direct to the North Pole.

It’s long forgotten magic gets stronger every time a letter is posted. Book your children into one of our timeslots and come to post their Christmas letters and then walk through our illuminated woods to the magic postbox. See their faces light up with the trees as the letter is posted and watch with wonder at their joy of spotting a real Elf. Relax by the fire with hot drinks, You may even see a reindeer!

Hi believers,

It is with regret that after nearly 10 years we have to announce there will be no Winterwoodz in 2024. Hopefully we'll return in 2025.

🎄Top tips for Winterwoodz 2023🎄
-Warm footwear that you don't mind getting mucky and wet, if wearing wellies make sure you have more than one pair of socks! The ground is very wet.🥾
-Leave the party clothes at home, wear your thermals, hats and gloves, you can always take a layer off if you get warm!
- The letter writing workshop is open, no need to bring a letter with you.
- The paths are woodland paths and carriers are easier than pushchairs.
- Winterwoodz is full of magic, but we need you adults to bring your magic too, please don't open the brown bag given to you when you arrive, wait until the kids are in bed and please only use your phones for photos/ videos.
