The beautiful wedding of Shannon & Thomas took place at the stunning Aswanley Wedding Venue, just outside Huntly. Blessed with beautiful surroundings and plenty of character, it provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day.
Working alongside Michael Carver Photography, we began the morning at the charming cottages within the grounds. Just a short walk away stands Aswanley’s famous hedge, said to be the highest in Europe. The atmosphere was fantastic from the very start as we captured the bridesmaids getting ready, with Susanne working her magic on hair and Emma creating flawless makeup looks. There was plenty of laughter, lots of excitement, and a real buzz in the air as everyone prepared for the celebrations ahead.
The ceremony took place in the venue’s beautiful Long Room and was everything a wedding ceremony should be—filled with emotion, heartfelt moments, and plenty of laughs along the way. It was a joy to witness and capture.
With such incredible grounds surrounding the venue, we made the most of every opportunity to get outside for photos. From elegant portraits to relaxed candid moments, Aswanley offers no shortage of stunning locations. Meanwhile, the celebrations continued as guests soaked up the sunshine, with a talented saxophone player providing the perfect soundtrack and keeping everyone entertained.
Before long, it was time for some fantastic speeches, full of humour, stories, and heartfelt words, followed by a delicious meal shared with family and friends.
As the evening light began to soften, we ventured back outside to capture a few more portraits. The setting sun created the most incredible backdrop, giving us some truly special moments before heading back inside for the evening celebrations.
