Last week, 130 people came to Inverness with a shared belief that we can do better for women building businesses in the Highlands and Islands.

Every speaker who gave their time, every woman who took a day out of her business to be therem every person who travelled to join us, the strength of that commitment confirmed every belief I had going into the day.

That we can hold ambition for growth, investment, and economic development alongside the weight of caring responsibilities and the friction of building in an environment that was not designed with us in mind --- and still want more for our communities, our region, and - yes - unapologetically for our own bottom line.

The event was always meant to be the starting point for a new Highland Women Growth Partnership, a growth-multiplier and economic driver for our region.

What a terrific opportunity for women across the Highlands

🚀 New fully funded programme for women leading businesses in the Highlands and Islands!

We’ve launched HIE Impact Women - a 16‑week programme supporting women in leadership roles to strengthen their skills, grow their businesses and build strong networks across the region.

With funding from The Scottish Government, the programme includes two fully funded residential workshops, online learning, expert webinars and one‑to‑one mentoring from Skillfluence.

Participants will develop a personalised growth plan and take part in a Dragon’s Den‑style finale.

The launch comes as we prepare for the Highland Women Growth Summit today!
