Proper lonnnnnng post but perlease here me out!
Cos I've been having one of those moments where you start questioning your own decisions!!
You know the sort.🤯
You put something out into the world that you're genuinely excited about, you tell people about it, and then you wait for the bookings to come in....
And when they don't arrive quite as you'd hoped, your brain helpfully starts asking all sorts of questions.
Have I got this wrong? Do people understand what I'm trying to create? Am I being a bit daft thinking this is something people want?
I'm having a little of that with our first charity event at Cosmos Place.🫣
We're hosting Play with Clay, making b***y vases in support of Breast Cancer Now, and I would absolutely love to see a lovely group of people come together for it.
I know times are tight. I know everyone has a lot going on. I'm conscious that spending money on an evening out isn't always easy.
But I also know what I want this event to be.
A chance to slow down for a couple of hours. To make something with your hands, have a laugh, share a few stories and enjoy being with other people without having to rush off to the next thing.
And to do a little bit of good for a charity that matters.

Perhaps the hardest part of creating something new is continuing to believe in it before you have all the reassurance you'd like.
So I'm practising doing just that.
