Flourish Sussex Flower School

Flourish Sussex Flower School An innovative and creative Sussex floristry school, teaching students Flourish's own flower philosophies. Flourish was created from my love of flowers.

Inspiring professional florists, for people wishing to enter the floristry profession and for flower enthusiasts. I wanted to open a school for anyone that shares a passion for floristry, flower arranging and nature. Those you can not commit to a years college course and who would like to attend floristry classes that fit around their own schedules. Flourish has been a long term dream of mine. I h

ave been a floral designer for over fourteen years. My training includes Jane Packer Flowers and Mcqueens flower schools. I ran my own wedding and event business for eight years. After having some time out to have my children I wanted to create a London type flower school in Sussex. A school that teaches you the basic principles of floristry, but incorporates our own flower philosophies, innovative design, stylish installations and fashionable displays. Our floristry style is drawn from inspiration from the latest catwalk looks, interior design and of course nature. The school has been designed so that it caters for professional florists, flower arrangers, students who would like to enter the floristry profession and flower enthusiasts. Based in Hurstpierpoint West Sussex our classes range from taster two hour sessions to a ten week career course. We also offer a range of stylish vase and ceramics, as well as floristry tools all can be purchased through our website.

Let’s kick off the week with a review………

“I did the Flourish Two Week Career Course in March of this year. Alicia is kind, supportive and so knowledgeable. I felt comfortable from start to finish

The two week course was packed with creativity, no idea was too big. Week one was about bouquets, table centres and the fundamentals in floristry. Week two was the wedding week where we focused on bridal bouquets and large scale installations.

With the confidence built up from the course I decided to go to my local florist and ask if there was a position and I am now proudly part of the Rhubarb team and part time freelance florist.

If you love flowers, you are creative and you need two weeks of calm and patient learning this is for you. Alicia’s course will have you wondering why you waited so long!”

Asher; Two week career course.

………

One of the things I love most about being a florist is being inspired by fellow floral designers. One of those artists whose work has constantly inspired me over the years is Ae Jin of . So it was a real pinch me moment to be able to attend one of the days of her course last week, hosted by in the beautiful Cotswolds.

I am a firm believer that you can never stop learning and I certainly left feeling so inspired & my creativity was buzzing. It was also wonderful to meet so many creatives from all over the world, all eager to dive into the world of What a creative joy it was.

Thank you for sharing your artistry with us. Please come back to the UK next year! Or maybe it is about time I implemented my dream trip to Seoul!

Thank you to Se Jun for capturing the course so beautifully.
