When immigration officers arrived at dawn to detain two neighbours, the people of Pollokshields answered with one powerful message:

🕊️✨ The Other Taylor Swift — Short Film ,Q&A & a Walk around Huntly square swift spotting✨🕊️

Join us at Number 30 on Thursday 2nd July for a very special and moving evening celebrating one of nature’s most remarkable little travellers — the swift.

The Other Taylor Swift tells the heart-warming true story of Louise Bentley, who dedicates her summers to hand-rearing fallen swifts from her home in Bolton. These incredible birds travel over 3,000 miles from Africa each year to return to our skies — but their numbers are now in steep decline and they are officially red listed as endangered.

From dawn until dusk, Louise cares for exhausted adults and fragile chicks, giving them a second chance at life. We follow the journey of ‘Babs’, ‘Winchester’ and ‘Taylor’ as they race against time to gain strength for their long migration back to Africa — leading to the deeply moving moment of release back into the skies.

This special screening includes:
