Day 1 of the Arts & Crafts Festival is done… and what a day it was! 🌧️💨
I’ll be honest, at 7:45 this morning, standing in the pouring rain and battling gale-force winds while trying to set up, I was seriously questioning my life choices. Gazebos were threatening to take flight, ropes were being tied at record speed, and everyone was desperately searching for more weights!
But we stuck it out. We pulled together, helped each other, secured gazebos with every rope and weight we could find, and somehow survived the weather.
And despite the wind and rain, it turned into a fantastic day. I met so many lovely customers, had some wonderful conversations, and received some truly kind comments about my work. Thank you to everyone who stopped by my stall and supported small businesses today—it means more than you know.
A special mention to my height boards, which were incredibly popular and almost completely sold out! I do have a couple available for tomorrow, and they’ll definitely be returning to future events.
Here’s hoping Day 2 is a little kinder on the weather, but if today proved anything, it’s that this community is made of tough stuff. Looking forward to seeing more lovely visitors and fellow stallholders tomorrow.
