Escape to Nice with our August Supper Club & Gourmet Gathering

Our monthly Supper Club and Gourmet Gathering have become a favourite fixture for foodies and wine lovers, and this August we’re whisking you away to the sun-drenched French Riviera, specifically Nice.

Expect to begin with beurre d'anchois and fresh baguette, followed by a rich espresso of fish soup with rouille and crunchy croutons. The menu then celebrates the Mediterranean with red mullet, ratatouille and basil oil, before a comforting orange-scented daube of beef with rosemary potatoes. A regional Pélardon cheese course leads into a dark chocolate mousse with olive oil biscuit for the perfect French-inspired finish.

Join us on Wednesday 26th August for the full six-course culinary tour of Nice at our Hungerford bistro, or on Thursday 27th August at our Marlborough bistro for a more concise menu, where each dish arrives with its perfect wine companion. Think of it as choosing between a leisurely stroll along the Promenade des Anglais or a sparkling Mediterranean escape — either way, you’re in for an unforgettable evening.

The French have always known something we wholeheartedly agree with… the weekend is far too good to keep locked away until Friday!

Why wait when a delicious dinner, a good bottle of wine and a few hours around the table can happen any day of the week?

In true French spirit, we bring the weekend forward at The Funghi Club. In Marlborough, we’re open Wednesday to Saturday evenings with our dinner menu, while in Hungerford you can now join us on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights to enjoy our à la carte menu.

Expect plenty of atmosphere, a few tempting specials, and the perfect excuse to gather your favourite people. Because sometimes the best celebrations are the ones you don’t need a reason for. Très bien, non?
