Big morning today… ❤️

After 22 years and hundreds and hundreds of brides, today my very last bride comes to collect her dress.

Will I crack? Probably. 😭

It’s such a strange feeling knowing that this chapter is actually coming to an end. Bridal has been such a huge part of who I am for so long, and there are so many memories, laughs, tears and incredible people wrapped up in those 22 years.

What’s next? Honestly… who knows. 🤷‍♀️

But first… one last bride. ❤️

That’s a wrap… Simply Curves Bridal is now officially CLOSED. ❤️

What an incredible 22-year journey it has been.

We are absolutely overwhelmed to share that as of last night, every single wedding dress has now been sold!
Thank you to every bride who chose us, recommended us, supported us and became part of our story. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.

As we begin the next chapter, we do still have a small selection of items remaining, including:

We will also be selling a number of our shop fixtures and fittings, including:

A Little Respect Goes a Long Way

Sadly, we’ve experienced yet another no-show today.

What makes it harder to understand is we had communicated less than 12 hours earlier and two reminder messages this morning, we’ve received no response whatsoever.

As a small independent business, every appointment is reserved exclusively for one bride. During the school holidays, that often means arranging childcare and organising our family around those appointments, as well as turning away other brides who would have happily taken the slot.

When someone simply doesn’t turn up or let us know they can’t make it, it doesn’t just cost us financially—it wastes valuable time and has a real impact on our family too.

We completely understand that life happens and plans change. All we ask is for the courtesy of a quick message. It takes less than a minute and allows us to offer the appointment to another bride who may be waiting.

To the many wonderful brides who do turn up, communicate with us, and support small independent businesses, thank you. Your kindness and respect never go unnoticed. 🤍

Today we were let down by another appointment that simply didn’t turn up.

We completely understand that life happens. Plans change, emergencies arise, and sometimes you just change your mind. That’s absolutely okay.

What isn’t okay is not letting us know.

Every bridal appointment is prepared especially for you. We block out exclusive time for your appointment. On average, this costs our business around £65 per appointment.

We used to charge for appointments but it was met with much complaint. Unfortunately, repeated no-shows make us question whether we need to introduce an appointment fee again.

If you can no longer make your appointment, please just send us a quick message. It takes less than a minute and allows us to offer that time to another bride who may have been waiting.

Kindness and courtesy cost nothing, but they mean everything to a small independent business.
