Live at St. Paul's Hall, Shepley

Before I deactivate this FACEBOOK PAGE, I just wanted to say what a fantastic evening we all had at the ARTISAN / WE MAVERICKS Concert last night. I don't know exact numbers who attended, but I put out 108 seats, and there really wasn't many empty ones when we started the Show. A lot of you will know Artisan, and their unique style of singing (and humour), but if you get a chance to see 'We Mavericks' - take it, you will not be disappointed, they are a fantastically talented duo delivering some wonderful songs and melodies, and were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who came to the concert.

We had a fundraising Raffle on behalf of the Pennine Folk Club (formally Shepley Folk Club), and raised the total amount of £155 for Club funds, so a big "Thank You" to everyone who donated prizes and purchased tickets.

So, this is it. I'll give it a few hours for this Post to circulate, then I will be deactivating this page for 30 days, during which time I will be looking at various options and names for when I reactivate it.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported St. Paul's Hall whilst we were involved with it, and a very big personal "Thank You" to Ted Ruddiman and Paul Smith, both of whom have worked alongside me for almost two years, for the benefit of St. Paul's Hall. It was fun, it was hard work, it was frustrating - but we all gave 100% to try and improve the Hall for its users and the community.

We managed to get some Grants awarded to the Hall recently. From The National Lottery Community Fund we received £20,000 towards a new heating system, and from the Bishops Development Fund we were given £5,000 towards a new kitchen.

Still a way to go, though.

topping the event, and supported by a fabulous duo, all the way from Australia

WE MAVERICKS

Doors open at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm start

This is a BYOB event (Bring Your Own Booze), and you'll need your own 'drinking vessels' as well.

This is the very last live music concert that myself, Ted and Paul will be involved with at St. Paul's Hall because we will no longer be involved with the Hall after tonight and Katie, the new Manager, will be taking over from tomorrow (Monday 1st September).

We've enjoyed working to improve St. Paul's Hall, so we're definitely sad to be leaving, but we're going out on a "high" with this fabulous live music concert, so a big "Thanks" to ARTISAN and WE MAVERICKS for making this evening something to remember.

Today is our last day at St. Paul's Hall, and so this page will be deactivated within the next 24-hours.

To save any misunderstanding, St. Paul's Hall is open for business as usual, under the new Manager - Katie, so please contact her for any future bookings or enquiries.

Thanks again to everyone who has supported us in the past, and we really appreciate all your kind comments with regards to our leaving.

Well, it's our last day at St. Paul's Hall tomorrow, Sunday 31st August 2025, and we want to say a big "Thank You" to all the Hall users, both regular and ad hoc users, who have supported us and the events that we have arranged.

We go out on a high because we have the fantastically talented 'ARTISAN' appearing at the Hall tomorrow evening (Sunday 31st August, Doors open at 7.00pm), supported by an amazing Australian Duo, 'WE MAVERICKS'.

From Monday 1st September 2025, St. Paul's Hall will be managed by Katie, so all enquiries about hiring the Hall, etc. should be made to her (sorry, we have not been provided with her contact details, so cannot pass them on).

We hope that you will continue to support St. Paul's Hall and help Katie to settle in over the next few weeks.

Myself, Ted and Paul wish everyone all the very best for the future, and hope that we might see some of you at the 'Pennine Folk Club' (formally Shepley Folk Club), on the third Sunday of each month at our 'new home' at Stocksmoor Village Hall.

Please to announce that the new Manager at St. Paul's Hall is KATIE.

This page may be taken over by a new Admin, so will not be closing down at this stage, so as to allow for this to be implemented.
