DP World Tour Qualifying School

It gives us great pleasure to announce that Huddersfield Golf Club will be one of the hosts to this years’ 1st Stage of the DP World Tour Qualifying School (DPWTQS) between Sunday 1st and Saturday 7th September 2024.
Since 1976, the Qualifying School has been held at the end of each season to establish which players, not otherwise exempt, will gain their playing privileges on the Tour for the following season through a qualifying competition.
It’s a tough school for one of golf’s most coveted prizes, namely Membership of the DP World Tour and a place among the golfing elite. The Qualifying School is held in three stages – dependent on the individual’s status – at a series of venues in the UK and Continental Europe. In the region of 1,000 competitors enter the Qualifying School each year, all aiming for a DP World Tour card, awarded to the top 25 and ties following the Final Stage. A player progressing through all three stages will have to play 252 holes under the most intense pressure.

Sunday 1st September – Official Practice Day
Course reserved for DPWTQS competitors only from 11:00 hrs. – 16:00 hrs.
Course closed for course maintenance from 16:00 hrs.
Monday 2nd September – Official Practice Day
Course reserved for DPWTQS competitors only from 08:00 hrs. – 15:00 hrs.
Course closed for course maintenance from 15:00 hrs.
Tuesday 3rd September – Tournament Round 1 (Stroke Play)
Course reserved for DPWTQS competitors only from 08:00 hrs. – 15:30 hrs.
Course closed for course maintenance from 15:30 hrs.
Wednesday 4th September – Tournament Round 2 (Stroke Play)
Course reserved for DPWTQS competitors only from 08:00 hrs. – 15:30 hrs.
Course closed for course maintenance from 15:30 hrs.
Thursday 5th September – Tournament Round 3 (Stroke Play)
Course reserved for DPWTQS competitors only from 08:00 hrs. – 15:30 hrs.
Course closed for course maintenance from 15:30 hrs.
Friday 6th September – Tournament Round 4 (Stroke Play)
Course reserved for DPWTQS competitors only from 08:00 hrs. – 15:30 hrs.
Course closed for course maintenance from 15:30 hrs.
Saturday 7th September – Spare Day in case of delays due to Inclement Weather, darkness, etc.
The course is reserved for the DP World Tour in the event that the 4 tournament rounds could not be completed on the scheduled days above.
Should there be no need of using this day, then the course will resume its usual operation. If you wish to play on this day, please book on the “Provisional Tee Sheet” as normal when booking goes live.
Please note that if there is need from the DP World Tour to utilise this day, then the provisional tee times will be cancelled.
Lastly, we wish to advise that between Sunday 1st September and Saturday 7th September 31st that the practice facilities at the Club will be open for use by DP World Tour competitors only.
