With the news that our home, Northern Quarter, Huddersfield, will be closing (at least until a new owner is found) mid-August, our daytime event on Saturday 8th August will be the last Disorder for the foreseeable future.
We're sure you'll all agree that NQ has been a fantastic venue for Disorder. Lets make the 8th August big one and celebrate a fantastic venue! See you soon!
In the meanwhile, we will be on the search for a new Huddersfield home. If you have any ideas please comment or message us here.
The Situation
We’re really sad to share that Northern Quarter will be closing in its current capacity from the middle of August.
Since the end of last year, with the help of brilliant staff and volunteers, we’ve put a huge amount of our spare time into keeping Northern Quarter open and at the heart of grassroots music in Huddersfield. This was always a temporary arrangement, and now it’s time to look ahead. The venue needs more long‑term support to secure a stable future, so we’re looking for another organisation, either new or existing, to take it on.
A few people have already shown interest, and we’re exploring every option, but it’s too early to know whether anything will come of these conversations.
We’re committed to supporting all events booked up to mid‑August. After that, unless a new organisation steps in, the venue will close its doors.
Northern Quarter has been so much more than a venue — it’s been a hub for music, great pizza, friendship, and community. We’re hugely grateful to everyone who’s brought energy into the space over the years: performing, working, volunteering, dancing and singing along, or simply stepping through the door.
A massive thank you to all the incredible staff and volunteers who’ve been part of Northern Quarter along the way.
