A wonderful morning spent with my dear friend and colleague Funeral Celebrant Sheenagh talking all things life and celebrancy! Blessed to have met her , as she is so knowledgeable, and I can eat cake without guilt because she likes it too!

Coffee (or in my case salted caramel frappe with fresh cream), cake and a long overdue catch up with my lovely friend and Celebrant colleague Sharon from SJ Independent Celebrant.

A couple of hours flew by in no time and Sharon always makes me smile - it’s so good to have people you can talk all things Celebranty with 🩷💝 …Thankyou so much my lovely xx

A service in English sprinkled with a little French, honoured a gentleman who made a beautiful life and adopted family for himself before returning the UK 30 years later due to Brexit.
A tribute from friends in France showed he was loved as much over the Channel as he was by his beautiful family here . Thank you, Sir, for a life of love, service to the country and the communities in which you lived.

Today we said goodbye to a gentleman who loved 50s and 60s music . After his beautiful wife and son had paid wonderful personal tributes to him, it seemed fitting that his final tribute came from the King himself, one of our local Elvis impersonators sung Peace in the Valley which was tremendously well received.
His favourite sunflowers adorned his coffin as we celebrated a life well lived in a wonderfully unique way. Thank you to the family and FD Jude for allowing me to serve this lovely family.

I have edited this , as one of my colleagues rightly points out I use the term independent funeral homes.
For clarity what I actually mean is LOCAL FUNERAL SERVICES/ HOMES. Thinking about an unattended funeral service. Speak to your local funeral director and your family to explore your options first.

The government consultation on wedding law reform is finally here so now is the chance to have your say.

A change in law would provide a more flexible and inclusive system, giving greater choice for couples.

The consultation is open to EVERYONE so please take the time to respond.

We have until 24 September to make a difference.

Si Si the stonic had the VIP treatment today when she visited the charity car was run by our friends Zoe, Rachel, Steve and their newest colleague Mel at Edwin Pound Funeral Service, Sandbeds. The sun was shining and it was hot , but we were treated to coffee and cakes whilst we waited. Many many thanks to all involved and I hope you raised lots of money for charity!!!!

If you’re in the Keighley area today, come on down and support this wonderful event! Hubby washed my car already so returning the favour and taking his, and who could resist coffee and cake?????

It's going to be a warm one!!! We will have ice-creams and cold drinks as well as teas, coffees, and cakes.
