So why Frugal Frog Flowers?........
I have a passion for upcycling and recycling so a few years ago I set up this page to sell top quality secondhand home and wedding accessories. It was called Frugal Frog Home & Wedding to reflect the fact that it is possible to furnish your home and decorate your wedding very frugally. In March 2016 I decided to add some fresh flowers to my page for Mother's Da

y and I was suprised at how well they sold - it ignited my passion for floristry - something I had been doing on and off for 30 years. In May 2016 I decided to give up my job to concentrate on the flower side of things, and I have to say I haven't looked back and business is blooming! I have dropped the Home & Wedding part of the name to concentrate on flowers - so now it's just Frugal Frog Flowers

Please feel free to browse my pictures and albums. If you click 'like' on the page and interact by 'liking' or commenting on occasional posts you will get notification of new items as they are added.

Hi guys - if you like home decor, saving things from landfill and helping charities (as most the vases and jeans come from charity shops) pop over to my page - I also make jewellery and scarves, and my etsy shop is now up and running so may find a unique Christmas present (the link to my Etsy shop is on my Denim Den page click on video to visit my page) I've so many plans for my new little business, so follow me and share this post to see what's coming - thanks x

This is probably the last post before I retire this page and I am asking a huge huge favour - I have just launched my Etsy shop for my new business (the link to my Etsy shop is on my new page)
A shiny new business is a bit daunting and exciting in equal measures and although I will be paying for some Facebook adverts I am keeping a tight eye on the purse strings until things take off and would be very grateful if you could share this post as below is the link to my new business page for my up-cycled denim business making jewellery, scarves and home decor items - the power of social media is huge and would really help ❤
Moving home to Wales to be near my lovely Mummy in the future is the reason for my new business and I am really looking forward to what's ahead - so many ideas for the business in my little brain so watch this space (no sorry not this space the new page space🤣) and thanks for being here and being supportive for the last 12 years

At The Denim Den I turn unwanted denim into bold jewellery and vases for lovers of quirky style and planet-friendly living, my creations save materials from landfill. Creative, and totally unique — because saving the planet should look good too!

Thank you so very much - I have been blown away with all your kind comments - I wanted to acknowledge each individually, which I think I have done, but apologies if I missed anyone - it's very touching to know I have helped so many people at a very sad time in their lives🙏💐

Hi all today is the day I have to share the news that I am closing my business – I have loved running my business for nearly 10 years, but I am now so excited for what lies ahead

It’s been a tricky start to the new year - my Dave got made redundant after 21 years with the same company - sometimes life throws you a curve ball and it’s given us time to think and reassess and I have decided to follow a different route

Running a business single handed can be hard and stressful sometimes with minimal time off, I have also suffered with anxiety for over 15 years which has added additional challenges, so I am starting to research a new project which will be more flexible and therapeutic and with my lovely Mum not getting any younger it will allow me to spend more time in Wales with her and my family

It has been a pleasure and a privilege to help families out during what is a difficult time for them, and I would like to thank you all for your support and wish you well

If there are any florists out there that ever need help when the workload seems a little daunting give me a shout I’d be happy to help out even if just for a couple of hours – particularly with basing work, which as well as enjoying I am super quick at! I know all too well what it’s like – unable to offer regular hours, but every now and again an extra pair of hands is required! And of course I will be selling all my sundries

I would also like to take this opportunity to say a few words in the defence of florists: we often get accused of being overpriced as we get compared to supermarkets but they have more buying power than most flower wholesalers that we buy our stock from, and supermarkets also set prices, so when florists have to deal with seasonal rises in flower prices like on Valentines Day and Mother’s Day the supermarkets tend to pay the same all year round, and also the flowers they sell are not the highest grade and not always looked after with care once they reach the shops. It takes years to learn our art and it has always baffled me that people don’t bat an eyelid when a builder or tradesman give a quote – it’s almost expected that it will be expensive, and yet us florist have trained just as hard to learn our trade. I have always loved this quote: "If I do a job in 60 minutes it's because I spent years learning how to do that job in 60 minutes. You owe me for the years, not the minutes."
Also there is a huge difference between a florist with years of training and experience and someone that just decides to have a go to make an extra few quid – please be sure you are using a reputable florist when ordering flowers for your loved one’s farewell or other family events, because just like ‘cowboy’ builders trust me there are many ‘cowboy’ florists out there!

Thanks again for your support - Becky x

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all that have supported my little business this year
Although I am wishing you all a Happy Christmas, I know for the many families that I have helped this may not be the case - I know that it will be a difficult time for many of you and you have a special place in my thoughts
The best gift this Christmas is the memories you have of your loved ones and it's a present that will last forever

Following my post last week about having not done any of my little 'gifts to go' for a while a couple of you lovely people contacted me to see if everything was ok - please to report it is - had a bit of a speed wobble when Dave did his back in - he was off for a few weeks and was I playing nursemaid as well as running the business - I started off like Florence Nightingale - tending his every need, I then went through a phase of wanting to kill him and then we settled into a bit more of a routine and I actually missed his when he went back to work!
But that was just for a few weeks, and I must confess it's been a lot lot longer since I've shared pictures of any of my work - apologies as I know many of you like to see them, but admin and sorting out the photos are my least favourite thing to do especially when I am so busy actually making up my orders which is what I love most - so note to self 'must try harder' and here a few that I have manage to sort out

Apologies - it's been a little while, but I have some £10 'gifts to go' available in pink, white and purpleSame style as...
