A special cake for a very special client. 🖤✨

When Kim asked for a black and gold 40th birthday cake for her sister, I knew this classic colour combination would create something truly elegant and timeless.

Beneath the design is a delicious red velvet cake, filled and finished to celebrate such a milestone birthday in style.

I absolutely love creating bespoke celebration cakes that feel personal to the person they’re made for, and this one was no exception.

This Wednesday Addams luxe picnic party was completely bespoke from start to finish.

Custom pencil cases as personalised place holders for every guest, coffin favour boxes to take home, a chrome and purple balloon installation, and a table that made guests stop and stare the moment they walked in.

When Emily told her mum she wanted a Fairy Princess Tea Party, every detail had to feel magical, delicate… and completely unforgettable, in Pink! 💗😍

Her busy mum simply didn’t have the time to plan it all so she handed it over to me to create something truly special ✨

She asked for a “Wicked for Good” Party … So I delivered 💚💗.

My daughter turned 9 at the end of March and I wanted her party to feel like stepping into another world, not just a birthday, a full experience.

The secret behind balloons that look expensive? It’s called double stuffing.

Most people don’t know why some balloon garlands look cheap and others look like they belong in a luxury venue. The difference is almost always in the finish! ✨

Double stuffing means placing one balloon inside another before inflating to achieve a custom colour. Layering a beige inside a pearl for example, the result is a depth of colour you simply can’t get any other way. Richer. Softer. More intentional.

But here’s the thing — it only works with professional-grade latex. Standard balloons from Amazon are too thin and too flimsy. They split under the pressure, the colour muddies, and the finish is nothing like this. It’s one of those techniques that looks simple and absolutely isn’t.

This is the kind of detail I build into every event I style. The things guests can’t quite put their finger on.

This sleek black buttercream cake was designed to match the overall theme, clean, modern and perfectly paired with the black and gold styling.

Inside was his favourite flavour, Lotus Biscoff.
Simple on the outside but full of flavour on the inside!

What a joy it was to be trusted with this completely organic balloon setup to make this beautiful garden extra special. The outdoor furniture and colours in the garden gave a gorgeous rustic feel which we wanted to lean into.

At the end of July, I had the pleasure of styling for a very special gentleman’s birthday. Alongside the balloons, I created a double-barrel six-inch red velvet cake standing at a whopping 32cm tall, finished with silky Russian buttercream and an abstract design.
