I’m a self-taught photographer. No, I wasn't handed a camera by my grandad and given pearls of wisdom on how to ensure a successful career in photography, nor had I even stepped foot in a darkroom until my third year of university! My journey to wher

e I am now simply doesn't have the wonderful, idyllic beginning that so many others seem to have. My story is that I left school with no gear and absolutely no idea on what I wanted to do, and thought I’d try my hand at a Photography degree. Well, talk about chucking yourself in at the deep end! Turns out that everyone else on the course had done their GCSE and A-Level Photography first. I didn't even own a camera! Anyway, three years and a LOT of hard work later, I’d managed to catch up with all the far more experienced people on my course, and - still to my own disbelief - I came out with a 2:1. Not bad for someone who "didn't know how to take a photo" eh?!

Almost ten years since then and this is me. I am blessed with natural creativity, and I have been brought up to understand the reward of hard graft and open-mindedness. It's been a seriously busy ten years and far from easy. I've loved watching my style define itself before my eyes, and I don't think I've ever felt more passionate about what I do than right now!

This weekend I am so excited to be back at the amazing for their first wedding open day!

I first visited Oxcombe last year for an engagement shoot, followed by an unbelievably beautiful wedding. Before now, Oxcombe has only hosted a handful of weddings, and I remember thinking back then how much potential it had to be a serious contender in the Lincolnshire wedding venue scene….

So imagine my joy when I see that they’re going for it! And, that they’d chosen to use some of my images for their marketing.

So, if you’re in the early stages of planning a wedding, and you’re looking for somewhere totally unique and unmatched in beauty, seriously consider visiting Oxcombe this Saturday. It’s just outside of Horncastle, and is definitely a hidden gem set in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

The Hobsons! // 🤍

Now we all know I love a marquee reception, but I bloody LOVE a farmers wedding.

No-one does it like the farmers do. The effort. The detail. The graft. The love. And my God do they know how to party! 🎉 I saw it all and I captured it all. From early start to late finish, I adored my day on Saturday with Rosie, George and their team of legends. Cannot thank them all enough for choosing me, and for welcoming me in to their very very special day.

Magical, mono moments for C&N 📸

THE most special day to end 2025 wedding season. 5 days before Christmas, this wedding was filled with all the emotions and I just loved being around all of these people so much. What a privilege!

📣 OH HIYAAAAA! 📣 I'M BACK!!!!

Almost two whole years have passed since I was last able to post on my page! I won't bore you with the story, but being hacked is really crap and I hope it never happens again. If you're one of the many who didn't receive a reply in that time, I'm so sorry. If you're still with me and see this, hit that like button! 👍🏻

📸 Anyway - imagine just how much content I've captured in those two years that most of you won't have seen. Keep your eyes peeled, you're in for plenty!

Here are some monochrome moments from the last wedding I shot back in December. 5 days before Christmas, I experienced the most magical day with Nathan and Caroline. So much emotion to capture, and my cameras and I soaked it all up.

// BLAKE -&- LAUREN // 📸✨

This one feels like it's been in the diary FOREVER! 💜

And it was so good to finally bring it to life on Saturday. It was my first trip to photograph a wedding at the beautiful Stockwith Mill, which immediately felt like home. I find that really important as a photographer to feel comfortable in my environment, it definitely brings out the best in me. Give me a small, cosy and rustic (but aesthetically pleasing!) venue any day over a big scary posh one!

This day was a day of rain on, rain off, sun in, sun out. Football quarter finals, a surprisingly emotional best man and lots of baby Guinness!

// HEY THERE, DELILAH! //

The feeling of privilege to photograph a couple's baby was about as high as it gets on Saturday morning.

Everyone, meet the beautiful and long-awaited Delilah Iris Deacon. All that needs to be said is that Iris means "rainbow" which could not be more perfect, much like the little lady herself.

I spent the most lovely few hours with Paul and Lucy in their gorgeous home, photographing their gorgeous baby girl. What a job!
