Hey everyone 👋🏼
Just a quick one… I’ve had a few people ask me recently why I’ve closed down… I just want to point out I have NOT closed down the business.
I have closed the shop front sales yes, however the business is still very much alive.
Running the shop itself along with everything else I had to do, a second and third job (at the time), my little one and so on… just took it tole on me.

I am taking a few weeks to myself to sort out what’s left to do and the breath finally 🤣
So socials will be that bit quieter.

You’ll all get your regular shimmer bakes fix soon don’t worry 🩷

Huge thankyou to everyone for your orders today! We pretty much sold out in seconds but it’s taken a while to sort out.

I’m so sorry to those further up the list that didn’t manage to grab one but… the mystery boxes are going to be a weekly occurrence going forward. I will also be making more of the cheesecake waster eggs you all know and love!
So if your one of the many that missed out today please don’t worry, there’s more coming soon 🩷

We currently have our large display full of bakes, however instead of having the shop open for the last day today I have an idea?… who would prefer mystery boxes for £8 👀 I can deliver these locally too!
Or would you like us open instead?

I do also have some more of our mini egg cheesecake Easter eggs that you can purchase separately at the rescued price of £5 since it’s our last day.

I can deliver locally between a set time bracket later today if need be.

Big News from Shimmer Bakes ✨

This isn’t goodbye… it’s a glow-up. 💫

After a lot of thought (and many late nights!), I’ve made the decision to close my shop front and hand the saddle over to someone incredibly deserving, someone who’ll bring fresh energy and expand into delicious savoury treats alongside the sweet bakes you all love. 🍰🥐

Running Shimmer Bakes as a one-woman show has been the most amazing journey, but the reality is… there just aren’t enough hours in the week to give the shop the time and attention it truly deserves while also creating all the bespoke orders I’m so passionate about.

So, I’ve chosen to make a change, and it’s a positive one. 💕
✨ Shimmer Bakes is NOT closing
✨ It’s evolving
✨ And it’s making space for even more creativity

This weekend will be our FINAL weekend of trading in the shop 🎉 giving the new owners time to make their changes and put their own stamp on things. To celebrate, I’ll be going all out with a HUGE variety of bakes, milkshakes, drinks, and sweets… and there will be some special offers running all weekend too 👀🍩🥤🍬

Think treat boxes, mix & match deals, and a few little surprises along the way… so make sure you pop in and grab your favourites (and maybe try something new!) one last time in the shop! 💖

By stepping away from the shop front, I’ll be able to focus fully on personalised orders, celebration cakes, and all the custom creations that I’ve had to turn down far too often. This means more availability, more flexibility, and even more magic going into every single bake. 🎂

I’m so proud of everything this little business has grown into, and I’m beyond excited for this next chapter, both for myself and for the shop’s future under new hands.

Thank you, as always, for your support, your orders, and for being part of the Shimmer Bakes journey. This next phase is going to be something really special… and I can’t wait to share it with you. 💖
