I love watching audiences leave a show.

They talk about the performers.

The funny moments.

The standing ovation.

Almost nobody says, "The sound engineer did a brilliant job."

And that's exactly how it should be.

When technical production is working well, it disappears into the background. The microphones just work. The lights change at the right moment. The presentation appears when it's supposed to.

Success isn't being noticed.

Success is everyone remembering the event instead of the technology.

If the audience is talking about the experience rather than the equipment, someone's probably done their job well.

It's been a joy to collaborate with the rest of the Production Team to bring this harrowing story to life, in what is essentially just a black box room. Representing multiple murders simply through lighting and sound has certainly been a challenge, but I'm so happy with the results. Here's to a great run, cast and fellow crew!

The work on this production is well underway, with lighting design, sound design, and general event tech work happening behind the scenes.

Great sound elevates any band performance, public speech, presentation - and ultimately any event where a microphone or instrument is involved.
