CELIA: THE JOURNEY

Wow. The first and last thoughts on this experience. Absolute luxury at its best. Incredible food, craftsmanship at another level (more on that later) and the most wonderful company.

Whizzing through the English countryside, sipping on champagne and eating a lunch almost as beautiful as the interiors was a total treat.

A little insight into our minds whilst designing > swipe along to see the reality and also our inner thoughts when pulling together a look.

We always consider the balance and how the individual elements work well together. There are of course more elements than pictured here but it shows how our thinking begins. This whole look started either a swatch of fabric we fell in love with which then became the most amazing tablecloth.

Creating summer events feels so joyful. There’s something about this time of year, we know we’re not alone in thinking it - you just feel so positive, carefree and there feels like so much excitement around.

Designing to capture that feeling was so wonderful. An event filled with colour, movement and detail. Intentionally meant to feel like an intimate dinner party, but we couldn’t resist the bigger touches - the floral linen, the layout, the moving flowers, the beautifully food and styled staff. A summer dream!

Working in iconic venues is hands down one of our favourite parts of our jobs. The impact for guests is huge and operationally we love the challenge of delivering in these spaces. Creating atmosphere, unexpected designs and designing within the walls of London venues which are instantly recognisable is the best feeling.

As planners, these are the moments we live for. It can be a bride, a brand, a corporate client. It doesn’t matter the situation but that moment that your client sees it all for the first time, after months of planning, millions of emails and so much decision making. It’s the feeling we cherish and it’s what makes it all worth it. However busy we are on site, we will ensure we never miss this moment and we know for sure, we’ll never tire of it. Ever.

Celebrating the changing of the season.

We are officially stepping into Spring and Summer and ready to welcome all that comes with it - alfresco dining, lots of colour and mostly spending time in brilliant company soaking it all up.

This was such a joy to create, we had a lot of fun, because at the end of the day, isn’t that what it’s all about?

As always, feeling so lucky for the incredible suppliers we work with and this really was a dream team.

The warmth of the brick in Hearth feels so inviting. Adding clean white touches - the linen runner, the florals and cosy sheepskin throws, added a freshness to the look of this intimate dinner.

Hearth, at Heckfield specialises in open fire cooking and is known for its organic and holistic approach with a love for the land, seasons and a fresh palette. One of our favourite hotel restaurants out there and the perfect setting for a private dinner.
