We are a Devon-based caterer, who pride ourselves on a high level of customer service and the use of quality local produce. We have many years of experience in top level restaurants, event venues, outside catering and hospitality so can help make your event run smoothly from start to finish. We cater for weddings, events, dinner parties, shoot weekends and parties across Devon, Dorset and Somerset

PLEASE DON’T GHOST YOUR WEDDING SUPPLIERS!

We are getting some INCREDIBLE enquiries through for 2026 still and lots of GORGEOUS bookings for 2027 too. We have quite a few fully booked weekends but we still have some capacity (and plenty of midweek dates too).

If you enquire, we will ALWAYS reply promptly and quote if we have availability.

We are very grateful when potential couples have the courtesy to reply.

Ghosting really isn’t very pleasant so please don’t do it - to us or any potential suppliers.

The wedding industry is made up of AMAZING small businesses with huge heart and soul.

Quotes take time to put together, particularly for those of us who quote on a bespoke basis. Please show some respect by acknowledging this.

Last Friday night saw us catering a joint BIG birthday party over at the fabulous - canapés, a beautifully put together meal and a grazing cheeseboard. A perfect celebration across a couple of generations surrounded by their family and friends.

Saturday saw our very first wedding where we are proud to be catering and events management partners. Beautiful couple, beautiful day, just wow.

Lovely words from S&G:
We had over 300 guests at our wedding and our caterers absolutely knocked it out of the park. From start to finish, the food was exceptional and we’ve had nothing but glowing feedback from our guests.

The canapés were beautifully presented and packed with flavour! The main meal was equally impressive, with the burrata in particular being a massive hit. Everything was served seamlessly, fresh and with incredible attention to detail, especially considering the scale of the event.

The team were professional, organised and a pleasure to work with. Katie managed the logistics of such a large wedding effortlessly and made sure every guest felt well looked after.

The most special of days yesterday!

The first day that we worked a Milkshed wedding together as a family. These two amazing humans are our world - they have grown up with our business and they have never known life without it. Without realising, they’ve put up with us both working weekends, evenings and putting everything into Milkshed to make it what it is today. They have a deep understanding of what it takes to make a business work, and the importance of making each and every wedding and event the best we can make it.

Louis has been a regular on our front of house team for a year now and yesterday Ivy joined us and helped prepare canapés and plate a three-course meal for 120 guests. It was a very proud moment.❤️

It is this that gave us our name - Milkshed. Our catering kitchen is on our property - an old dairy farm, and former milking shed but more importantly our four initials make up the first four letters of our name:
M - Mark
I - Ivy
L - Louis
K - Katie

A special moment that had to be marked with a family photo (we only had to take about 100 before we all had our eyes open and none of us were making a silly face!)

All the Spring Mediterranean feels for L&J yesterday!

This fresh tasty starter was a bespoke request from our couple - burrata, prosciutto, griddled peaches and pea shoots, served with our rosemary focaccia style bread. There is something super special about a pretty marquee in a home garden wedding 💚

We are getting a few requests for bowl food coming through - for birthday parties and corporate events. It’s something we haven’t done in a few years but it seems to be making a bit of a comeback.

If you are looking to give your guests a decent feed but you don’t want the formality of a sit-down meal or the old school vibes of a buffet, this is a great option!

Recent bowls served:
Risotto with fresh peas and broad beans, pea shoots and pecorino cheese
Harissa chicken with tabouleh and minted yogurt
Beef Bourguignon with baby onions, carrots and creamy mash
Tiger prawns with spiced avocado, garlic, chilli and coriander

Dessert options are also a possibility!

FEEDBACK
We used Milkshed Catering Ltd services for our wedding at Huntsham Court in March. Right from the beginning, Katie and the Milkshed team were extremely professional and responsive. They gave us detailed quotes, helpful information and guided us through what can be a daunting process. They were extremely flexible and willing to accommodate any of our needs and requests (even last minute changes to guests numbers...). We stayed at Milkshed accommodation for our tasting (which was optional), and it was a lovely break and very convenient. The tasting itself was superb, the food was beautifully presented and delicious and gave us a good sense of what to expect on the wedding weekend. Of course, the food on the wedding day was exactly as we expected it to be (if not even better!). Throughout our wedding weekend, Milkshed staff were super attentive, polite and professional and it was an absolute pleasure having them around. We did not have to worry about a thing, and it all went flawlessly. Guests commented positively on both the staff and the quality of the food. We’re not planning on having another wedding any time soon (!) but if we were, we would not hesitate to use Milkshed Catering again. It was fantastic! Special thanks to Katie and all the staff who helped during the weekend!

Canapés!! Always a treat, always welcome and there are almost never any leftovers!

We have a lovely long list of canapé options for you to choose from - we always suggest a minimum of 6 to give plenty of variety (and sustenance!) but lots of our couples opt for 8 or even 10, especially for a longer canapé reception. We pace them out across your drinks reception so there are plenty to go round, and we even have tactics to get round the inevitable ‘lurkers’ who try and catch them as they come out!

It is always so wonderfully rewarding to receive an email, card or online review following a wedding. We always go the extra mile for our couples and knowing they are happy with what we’ve done means the absolute world. We just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the work that you and your team did at the wedding. We had a fantastic time and everyone complemented the food. The service was impeccable, we honestly had such a fab time and your work definitely contributed to it!

Food was a big deal for us, as we needed to show the Frenchies it could be done right on this side of the channel too! Clearly this has been a success, but we knew we were in safe hands!

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

We are taking a moment this Friday to share this photo of our lovely Katie (one half of our Milkshed owner team). Alongside Mark’s creative, bold and brave vision for Milkshed, Katie runs the business and makes everything happen like clockwork. She loves getting to know our couples and helping them plan their special days.

We asked her about her favourite things so you can get to know her a bit better:

Favourite part of a wedding?
I’ve got 2! Seeing the couples we have worked with smiling and happy on their wedding day (also love that first peek at the dress!) and the canapé reception as it’s a great start to the celebratory part of the day.

Favourite meal?
Mark cooked me John Dory with rosemary butter sauce when we first worked together in the Languedoc in France (heaven!). I also love fresh homemade pasta and I’ve got a bit of a sweet tooth.

Favourite drink?
A cold, crisp glass of Champagne.

Favourite thing to do?
Family holidays are definitely up there - skiing in the Alps or chilling in the Greek Islands. Quality time together is so important. ❤️ Otherwise, walking the dog (Chewie the cockapoo) along the beach and spending time with friends.

Favourite part of running Milkshed?
Honestly? All of it - it doesn’t feel like a job which makes me feel incredibly lucky.
