✨ Top tips for your bridal alterations ✨

Saying yes to the dress is just the beginning, alterations can completely transform your dress.

As we are now into wedding season, we have lots of brides coming in for their first fittings. Here are my top tips to make sure everything goes smoothly:

Ensure to leave enough time!
We usually recommend leaving 8–10 weeks before your big day for alterations. This gives enough time for fittings, adjustments, and making sure everything fits like a dream, without any last-minute stress. More complex alterations can mean longer.

Ensure to bring the essentials.
What you wear underneath (and on your feet!) makes a huge difference. Be sure to bring:
• Your wedding shoes
• Your underwear that you are hoping to wear on the day
• Any shapewear you plan to wear

This helps us tailor your dress to your exact silhouette.

Don’t forget your accessories!
If you already know what accessories you’ll be wearing, like belts, veils, or jewellery, bring them along! They can affect the overall look and fit, so it’s best to see everything together.

Your dream dress deserves a flawless fit!

An unexpected surprise!

Whilst Louise came to collect her stunning veil today, Annie had a go at trying on her first wedding outfit and bought it straight away!

Three incredible, funny women and I’m so glad I get to work with you again next year for Annie’s fittings!

Have a great wedding Louise!

Recently engaged and planning your wedding? Here are 3 simple ways to make your wedding more sustainable 🌿

1. Have a preloved or sample dress 🤍

A stunning gown doesn’t have to be brand new. By choosing a gown that is already made then it means that you are reducing your wedding environmental footprint dramatically. The manufacture and shipping process for dresses can be very harmful to the planet, so you may as well have one that already exists!

2. Rethink your décor 🌸

Opt for a prop hire company for your wedding over buying and making items yourselves. It means they are easily repurposed. You also don’t have to worry about storing them in your home and then trying to resell afterwards!

3. Minimise single use items 🍽️

Of course reducing any single use plastics in your wedding is an instant must, but this moves further than you think. Rather than have 100 personalised cocktail stirers made, why not have personalised drink wafers that dissolve into the drink or are edible!

Small choices, but they can make a huge impact!

Save this and share to anyone you know getting married!

Loved visiting in Brick Lane today!

These sorts of events aren’t always designed for boutiques that do what I do and wow did I feel like a little fish in a big pond! But it was an incredible opportunity to network, gain inspiration, and see the upcoming trends for 2026/2027.

I came away with a buzz of excitement and loved meeting so many incredible designers who I’ve followed for years.

Anyone wanting a wedding dress but hates wearing white?

This gorgeous bespoke gown has a beautiful pinky hue with gold lace and beading. Its bouncy ballgown skirt consists of many layers of tulle, while its refined structured bodice hugs the body perfectly.
