Woodthorpe Hall Woodthorpe Hall is an outdoor wedding venue in North East Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District We offer every assistance with this.

Woodthorpe Hall is a private 17th century country house set in 2.5 acres of spectacular formal gardens in a very secluded corner of North Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District, but conveniently close to Sheffield (South Yorkshire). We offer the gardens as a venue for your special day, giving you the choice of marquee style, catering arrangements and any other service you may require. We hold

events with exclusive use for you and your guests, allowing access during the previous week for preparations. Our aim is to support you to arrange your day in whatever way you want, and we consider very careful and detailed planning is essential for the smooth running of your event. Each event is individually tailored to your wishes and we are happy to accommodate any more unusual requests. We no longer offer to hold a legal ceremony here, but we are able to offer an unusual purpose-made location for any non-legal ceremony in our Cider Press. This is a stone open fronted building incorporating a 19th century ciderpress still very much in use. 80 guests can be seated under a covered area with ample extra space for guests willing to stand. The gardens provide a superb backdrop for your photographs and can accommodate a marquee reception for around 100 people. We are also able to offer free basic camping space for any guests who wish to stay after the festivities. (This includes caravans/camper vans)

With respect to our neighbours, we can no longer allow the use of fireworks, and we ask that bands and disco's finish by 11.00pm but allowing music to continue at garden level through our own system till midnight.

Hello everyone,
We would love to see you all down at Woodthorpe Hall tomorrow for the village picnic. The weather forecast is looking sunny and today's rain means that the plants and flowers will look their best.
Tea, coffee and of course the famous Woodthorpe Hall cider will be on offer for a donation.
Please bring down all your tasty treats any time from 12.

Throw your hands in the air!!!

Congratulations to M and R! Your wedding was a blast. The DJ kept the dancefloor jumping from the back of Sadie the Landrover.

The sun shone down on the stunning marquee and the flaming torches lit up the night. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special day.

What a beautiful day for a wedding!

I think we had four seasons in one day, which only made the day more fun! Bolo ties, cowboy hats and *two* wedding dresses were the order of the day.

Delphine's Kitchen provided delicious vegan and vegetarian food all washed down with the finest Abbeydale beer before the tug-of-war battle began.

In the evening, the guests danced the night away inbetween delicious slices of pizza from Morgans Woodfired Pizza Ltd.

Lemoncello and reverse baby Guinness made last night's wedding go with a bang.

What a fantastic few weddings we have had since our last post. Each couple has put their own stamp on the day and we love how individual they all are. From fabulous paper flowers and fire performers to cathedral sized yurts and hand pressed flower cakes, it is the personal touches that make weddings at Woodthorpe so special.

It has been so lovely to catch up with the incredible bands, caterers, photographers and florists too. We missed you all so much last year. ❤
