Evening all 👋
Sorry, we’ve been a bit quiet on here recently… things have gone a little bit crazy behind the scenes!

New clients, exciting corporate work, funky pop-ups, weddings, private events and everything in between — it’s been full-on in the best possible way.

That said, I managed to take a little time out for a lovely weekend away with the family, which was very much needed. Sometimes you have to pause, recharge, and come back ready to go again.

Before launching Baker & Burke Caterers, my career took me through a wide range of catering environments — including healthcare, NHS settings and supported living.
Healthcare catering is one of the most demanding and meaningful parts of our industry. It is about far more than simply providing a meal. It requires care, consistency, attention to detail, nutrition awareness, allergen control, dignity, timing and a real understanding of individual needs.

Working in those environments taught me lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career.

Food matters.

Whether it is for patients, residents, staff, corporate clients, private events or community occasions, the same values apply — food should be prepared properly, served with care, and delivered to a standard people can trust.
