I am back from the most gorgeous break in Cornwall, back to being busy and covered in leaves and stems 🌿🤎

As much as I love a little bit of time away, I’m very happy to be back and getting stuck back into all things H in Bloom.

The next few weeks are looking busy with lots of lovely orders, funeral flowers, autumny bits and, somehow, Christmas creeping closer already 👀🎄

So it’s back to the flowers, the mess, the endless pile of stems on the floor and me wondering where the time has gone🤍

A beautiful tribute filled with meaning 🤍💚❤️

These funeral letters were created in the colours of the Italian flag, bringing a little piece of heritage and home into a very personal farewell.

Last year, a family contacted me to create their grandma’s funeral flowers. Less than a year later, they came back to me for their grandad’s funeral. 🤍

I met their grandad when I was doing his wife’s flowers. I remember hearing him talk about her, the life they’d shared and exactly what he wanted for her. You could just feel how deeply he loved her, and I remember coming home and telling Dan how incredible it must be to grow old with someone and spend your whole life side by side.

But I also remember thinking how heartbreaking it must be to lose someone who has been such a huge part of your life for so many years.

So to then be trusted to create flowers for both of them felt like such an honour. 🥹

And now, months later, I’ve had a third honour.. creating an artificial grave pot for their shared gravestone. Something that will last, just like the love they shared. 🤍

There’s something so beautiful about a love that lasts a lifetime, and I feel incredibly lucky to have played a small part in remembering theirs. 🌿

Three little letters that somehow hold a whole lifetime of love.

There are some words that will always mean so much more than their letters could ever say, and Dad is one of them.

A father, a best friend, a protector, a teacher, a constant… someone whose love becomes part of who you are and stays with you long after they’re gone.

Created with flowers, this tribute was made as a beautiful final farewell - filled with love, memories and all the things that can never quite be put into words. 🌿🤍

Because saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy, but sometimes flowers can say the things your heart simply can’t. 🕊️
