The sun is back out and the flowers are loving it after the rain.
Several colours of snapdragons, larkspur, lavetera loveliness, ammi, alstroemaria, nigella, canterbury bells and many more available for the weekend as bunches, bouquets or diy buckets.
Collection from Hilborough or local delivery available.

A lovely big bunch that went out today.
The scent of the snapdragons should be talked about more, it makes the polytunnel smell lovely 😊🌸

The dahlias were moved back to the raised beds in the autumn and overwintered under straw. Most have survived and some new ones have gone in, with a few cuttings left to go in. The straw was then used on the paths and the dahlias have had dried molasses and alfalfa added to the beds as a feed (a trial to see if it works well).
We got the supports in today just in time as a number of them are getting quite tall, with Arabian night in bud already (it is always the first to flower but usually later July)!!!
I think this year will be the earliest ever 😬🌸

A quick weekend tour round the garden to see what is flowering now 🌸🌸🌸
I try to leave a few wildflowers along the edges of beds to encourage beneficial insects which help if there are aphids around. Large areas around the garden are left to wildflowers and these are in full bloom right now.

Buckets of flowers are an affordable option for diy weddings and events if you are wanting for a more natural look. Also available direct to florists.

I cut them fresh every day to order and condition them overnight so they will last well in a vase with no chemicals added. They are selected so they are in perfect condition and each bouquet created is unique.
I grow in peat free compost in a sustainable way.
Prices - bunches from £15, gift wrapped bouquets using recyclable materials from £20. Small gift vases or jam jar arrangements are also available.

Lavatera loveliness definitely lives up to its name and is pumping out blooms at a rate of knots in the tunnel!

Some of this weeks flowers that went out to florists 🌸🌸🌸

There are a lot of flowers suddenly in bloom now with the hot weather. The larkspur in the tunnel looks like it will all be over in a flash at this rate! The pink mallow is in its prime and the snapdragons have started flowering inside. The first crop of orlaya and corncockle are over in the tunnel and the beds will be replanted with phlox and asters.
There is nigella if you love a pop of blue.
Alstroemaria will be available shortly.

I have been a bit slow to stock the plant stall this year. The plants are all ready to go but the cash box still needs mending so as soon as that is sorted I will do a post.
