Do you remember the 12 days of Christmas promotion ? I was a winner in one of them! It was a candlestick making coffee morning in a hidden gem in Newbury town centre - LoLA (lots of lovely art). It’s a cafe cm workshop for the whole family. They do various workshops for adults and children. If you are interested in art and crafts, this is the place for you. The proprietors Selina and Alara are super hosts. The coffee and cakes were excellent too. I had a fantastic time😘

It’s now less than two weeks before the workshops begin. We have last few tickets available. You will be guided step by step, with all materials and tools thoughtfully provided, each small group workshop allows for personal guidance throughout. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the season, leaving you with a handcrafted wreath to bring festive charm to your home.

I’m counting my blessings! It’s almost half way through October and I still have these beautiful flowers. They do brighten up an otherwise dull day. The dahlias seem to be lapping up the recent weather. My most productive flower this season must be Scabious’Black Knight’ - the dark pin-cushion flower. They have been flowering nonstop since June!

Being 1st day of October, I wouldn’t resist putting up something related to flowers even though being away from home. I try to delay mentioning Christmas as much as possible, but after a frost last night, it may be the time to start talking about it. What better way to start your festive celebration with a wreath making workshop I’ll be holding 3 workshops the first weekend in December. They are small groups (max 10 people) with personal tuition and lots of fresh, seasonal greeneries and beautiful decorations. No previous experience required. Bring a friend or two and have fun!
