Peonies must be one of the most flamboyant flowers. You can’t imagine these magnificent flowers come from a small bud the size of a marble! With the heat last week and the rain this week, they are over all too soon. One must enjoy the ephemeral beauty of them.

These Japanese ranunculus are worth the wait! I just can’t get enough of them. The recent extreme weather brought them on all at once. They’re so delicate, elegant and airy. I can see why they are also known as butterfly ranunculus. These were planted end of January, hence they only started flowering now. I’ll definitely grow them again next season 🥰🥰🥰

Happy bank holiday! It’s going to be a sweltering one 🌞🌞🌞Some seasonal flowers for the occasion😊Have you noticed my Japanese ranunculus? Late to the party, but at least they came unlike the normal ranunculus which I never had an luck with 😞

As we gently ease into May, the garden is changing at a rapid pace. Tulips have been and gone in a flash, and alliums now take centre stage. They go well together with syringa meyeri , viburnum opulus and deutzia in my newly acquired vase.

I'm absolutely thrilled to be working on this design with flowers straight from my garden. The camellia is having an amazing season this year. Since returning from Sri Lanka last week, I've been busy planting and nurturing. Regardless of experience, watching new growths appear is always exhilarating.

Currently in Sri Lanka having a break before the busy growing season takes hold. Enjoying the different flora and fauna, particularly attracted to the lush foliages around this tropical island. With a touch of sadness knowing how the current situation in the Middle East would affect their tourism which is a life line for so many of the locals🥲. 🇱🇰

Desperate times require desperate measures! In the depths of grey and wet winter, when there isn’t much in the garden, I resorted to supermarket flowers! Please don’t judge me. With the help of a few bits from the hedgerows and hellebores from the garden, these two designs actually look half decent. Before my spring bulbs are ready, I would just have to content myself with shop bought flowers 😔
