Q: Is it just for serious runners?
A: Not at all! We welcome all abilities – from 3 to 103! Whether you're chasing a PB or just fancy a scenic walk/run, there's a race for you.

Q: What’s the vibe like?
A: Think village festival meets trail race! It’s a fun, friendly day out with a buzzing atmosphere, smiling marshals, and music playing throughout the day 🎶

Q: What’s there for the kids (and those not racing)?
A: Loads! There's a 1K kids race, games, inflatables, food stalls, drinks, BBQ, and family fun all day long.

Q: Is the course tough?
A: It’s the Chiltern Hills – so yes, there are some ups and downs! But the trails are beautiful, the views are amazing, and we promise it’s worth every step 🌳⛰

Q: Will there be food & drink?
A: Absolutely. We’ve got BBQ, local beer, refreshments, and treats to refuel after your run – or just to enjoy while cheering everyone on.

Q: Where does the money go?
A: 100% of proceeds go to Bledlow Ridge School Association (Registered Charity 1027422). So your race entry supports local kids 💛

🏃In addition to the Ridge Off Roader 10k and half marathon races being held to raise funds for Bledlow Ridge School, we are also pleased to announce that we will once again be holding the 1km children’s fun runs!

🎫Sign up here by Thursday 16th May, numbers are limited for both races so please register early. It may be possible to enter on the day but only if spaces are still available and you need to sign up between 09:00 and 09:30 so adds an early start!

🌞This year we welcome all participants to celebrate May Ray Day - it marks a time to celebrate the brighter, warmer days as we move further into spring and edge closer to summer. Wear bright hats, face paint or colourful sunblock to show appreciation to the outdoors and sunlight (even better vibes if it's a bit rainy!).

ℹ️ Key information ℹ️

09:30 check-in to collect race number, held at the school playground.
Open to children in school years R to 6 inclusive:
Key Stage 2 will race first at 09:50, followed by Key Stage 1.
Flat course around the school grounds, both races will have a lead runner to follow.
Trophies awarded for the fastest two children in each race!
Entrance fee: £5
The races will conclude in time for the start of the 10k adult race (10:30) and every child taking part will receive a medal.

🥳All children participating must be accompanied by an adult - loudly cheering them on optional! We look forward to seeing you there. 🎉

What are you waiting for? Join us on the 19th May 😍

The focus of the event are two race distances – a 10k route and a half marathon route. Both routes will be excellently signposted and marshaled in key positions.

There will also be a 1k race aimed at local children or children of the runners. The school (cafe and BBQ will be based here) and village hall are open on the morning to ensure spectators can keep warm and dry.
