I’m not used to models with whiskers… 🐭📸

Most of my subjects ask where to stand, which side is their best side, and whether I can make them look a little slimmer.

These two simply demanded seed payment, ignored all direction, and disappeared whenever they felt the shoot was over.

That said, I have to admit they were wonderfully photogenic. Tiny bundles of curiosity balancing on the finest stems, completely at home in a world most of us pass by without ever noticing.

Wildlife photography is a very different challenge to fashion photography — no posing, no styling tweaks, no second takes. Just patience, timing, and a little bit of luck when the moment arrives.

A huge thank you to Dean for sharing his expertise and making these magical encounters possible, and to Lee-Ann for driving, organising, and ensuring the whole day ran smoothly.

I’m delighted to share that I have today been awarded my LRPS distinction by the Royal Photographic Society.

Becoming a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society is something I’ve worked towards for quite some time well since the end of Janurary, refining not just individual images but how they work together as a portfolio and visual story.

The assessors described the work as showing:
• “Good, confident camera work”
• “A clear and creative approach”
• “Empathy conveyed effectively”
• “Elegant presentation”

I’m incredibly grateful for all the encouragement, advice and support from friends, models, organisers and fellow photographers who have been part of the journey.

Photography continues to take me to amazing places, introduce me to wonderful people, and constantly challenge me creatively — and this feels like an important milestone along the way.

It’s raining men… or so she thought. ☔️

Somewhere between the silence of old books and the echo of history, Emma decided the library might just be where they fall from the sky…
So naturally — a parasol was essential.

Back at Strawberry Hill House with the effortlessly brilliant Emma Williams, who never misses. Grace, poise, and just the right touch of mischief — all wrapped into one frame.
