Sisters Holly (5) & Heidi (9) wanted a (Alice in) Wonderland themed birthday tea party...
..so I eagerly dressed the part and hosted proceedings as...
..the Mad Hatter!

And what crazy fun we had!

Performing as the Mad Hatter meant my comedy magic show had an even more clumsy and chaotic feel - all carefully choregraphed of course!

The party was a double first for me - my first time in character as the Mad Hatter and my first party in Mottram St Andrew.

This little hamlet between Prestbury and Wilmslow has a huge Village Hall - it's like a Tardis!

Looks average on the outside, but there was more than ample space inside on the enormous dance floor. Plenty of room for all the party guests to run around and join in with some crazy dancing and high energy party games.

A great space for a Wonder-full party!

Well, that was fun!

It was gathering no.2 today for my networking group for women from across the Buxton and High Peak area.

Another lovely bunch of ladies, who from the outset needed very little prompting to get the conversation and laughter flowing!

So many stories shared, friendships formed and cookies consumed...

Our next meeting takes place on Thursday 11 June, from 10am til 11.30am at the Palace Hotel in Buxton.

I've run children's parties in lots of village halls and community venues in and around Macclesfield, Bollington, Poynton and Prestbury...

But this venue was a first for me last weekend - a real little gem!

This is me pictured outside Adlington Village Hall. It's just off the crossroads opposite the Legh Arms/Toby Carvery pub on the main road between Macclesfield and Poynton.

Adlington Village Hall is a really cute looking Victorian building, with a great function room and modern kitchen area inside.

It provided the perfect setting for a fun packed old school party for a lovely four-year-old birthday girl and her friends and family.

I soon had everyone laughing along with my comedy magic show, with help/hindrance from my puppet puppy dog assistant Charlie, who was particularly naughty...

Then after a break for party food we launched into some crazy dancing and high energy party games. Rounded off the fun with my ever popular balloon swordfight.

It was lovely to chat to some of the parents and grown ups afterwards, who said they had enjoyed the party almost as much as the children!

It was great to host a fun packed party in my home town today - beautiful Buxton 🥳

After recently travelling to party venues in Cheshire, Staffordshire and far and wide across the High Peak area, this morning I enjoyed a commute to work which took less than five minutes!

Harpur Hill Village Hall is a really good community venue and the perfect place for the six-year-old birthday boy and his friends to party.

We kicked off proceedings with my comedy magic show, followed by some high energy party games and a grand finale balloon swordfight.

As a special touch, I put together a personalised party playlist of the birthday boy's favourite tunes. It had everyone singing along during the midway food break.

I've done the double again... 🥳🥳 with TWO children's birthday parties back-to-back on the same day!

Started with a magic show and party games for Hudson and a small group of nursery friends and family to celebrate his 4th birthday. A pop up marquee in the garden of his home in Poynton was perfect for dodging the rain showers yesterday...

I then hot-footed it to Macclesfield, where a spacious church hall was the venue for Hugo's big birthday bash. It was great fun to party with more than 30 kids to mark his 5th birthday.

Feet up today! 😅
