did you know I have been presenting my special brand of Christmas wreath workshop magic at Blackfriars Restaurant in Newcastle since 2014 every year with the exception of the pandemic lockdowns AND did you know that when the second lockdown was announced meaning our already sold out workshops all had to be cancelled the brilliant team at Blackfriars didn't just cancell them and basically leave me without any winter income - unlike other venues who did that to me with no notice no opportunity to work out a plan....but Blackfriars DID work out a plan - a plan to help them and also to help me. At the it meant a lot more admin from both sides and for Laura at Blackfriars coming up to my studio in Wark to collect ready prepared wreath kits and then me doing the workshops live over zoom for anyone who wanted them!
I will always be forever greatful for what the team at Blackfriars did back then, they knew I wasn't going to get any furlough because that wasn't an option available to businesses like mine (Director/only employee of own business), the other venues threw me under the bus without a second thought because they were all right they were getting furlough so people like me didnt matter to them.
So this year is the 12 years presenting my Christmas Wreath Workshops at Blackfriars and its going to be special - will you be there?
