Dear Santa’s,

It is that time of year, everyones decorating, the awful Christmas jumpers are out in force & people are staring to talk about Santa Pub Crawl. Unfortunately, Santa’s, we will not be doing the pub crawl this year, but it’s not goodbye from us, it is just a year off!

Since the Pub Crawl began in 2005 the event has been a great excuse for friends to get together over Christmas and have a good old knees up, with the bars and pubs offering great drinks deals & all of the wristband money going to charity. This format worked so well for many years, as you SPC veterans are aware! In the last couple of years the format had changed somewhat, and for the worse. The drinks offers weren’t there as bars got complacent, unnecessarily heavy handed bouncers were employed in certain establishments demanding ‘donations’ from people who had already paid for wristbands and we were forced into changing the direction of the Pub Crawl for other peoples profit. This event is 100% for charity and we have never taken a penny.

Heswall has changed a great deal since we started and we think that it is time for a break. We know not all of you will agree, and we are sure there will be an alternative event, of some format, for you all to attend on the 23rd.

Stay safe Santa’s & keep hold of that costume, because you will be needing it when we come back in force, 2015!

Today we handed over the proceeds of the wristband sales from SPC 2013 to Wirral MIND and Wirral Autistic Society. The total raised was just over £5000 that will go a long way to help local people who really need it. Additionally The Grange will be giving the Mia Austin Appeal their door money from the night of Santa Pub Crawl.

Thank you to everyone who helped with SPC last year especially- The Dee View Inn, Los Cabos UK, The Glegg Arms & The Grange. It was the most successful year to date!

But most importantly thank you to all of the Santa's who bought a wristband, without you the event would not exist and raise as much money for charities as it does.

We will keep you updated with the charities progress but most importantly, we will see you all on December 23rd this year for SPC's 10th birthday! Its going to be a big one...

Santa's, as with every year you have been awesome. SPC is a huge local charity night & every Santa tonight has added to that. Unfortunately this year, as we are sure you all know, the Ravenscroft got very greedy & charged everyone to get in against our agreement. This is a sad day as they used to support us so well. Sincere apologies for everyone who had to pay to get in, this has been the biggest shock to our event yet. We want to make sure that every penny taken tonight is given to charity and we will be asking questions, and we will be letting you know how we get on.

SPC is run by a group of people who see that every penny raised goes to local charities & tonight will be no exception. Happy SPC & Merry Christmas to you all

Once again, sorry to everyone intending to go to The Ravenscroft for a drink this evening, they have decided to charge everyone to get in! Some have called them greedy, others have called them much worse! Whichever way you look at it you're better off heading to Los Cabos, Suede or The Grange. IT'S OFFICIAL... With just over an hour to go - We have SOLD OUT of wristbands! The Dee View Inn have done a fantastic job this year and have sold hundreds of bands so a big pat on the back to them!

SPC9 will be kicking off in only a few hours!

We hope you can join us at the start of the pub crawl at The Glegg Arms at 6:30 where they are putting on a buffet for us all!

PLUS we have gone all out this year and will have THE genuine Santa with us (his beard is immense!) he is more than happy to have photos with you all and you can tell him if you've been naughty or nice too! He will be with us at the Glegg & The Dee View Inn too so make sure you pop along and say HO HO HellO!

We have just done the rounds of the pubs and bars in Heswall & all of their staff are mega excited to see all of you Santa's tomorrow!

Everywhere have now SOLD OUT of the SPC wristbands except The Dee View Inn where they have a very small amount!

You better get your beauty sleep tonight as tomorrow's going to be a big one!
