The Club House at Castle Green

Update. Storm Austin has delayed our display!
So if you are around, it will be happening around 2pm tomorrow. I have a few contributions to pick up which is so amazing! You never know what you'll get...so exciting!
👻🎃🕷🧹🧙‍♀️ I have been persuaded by our Flash Gardeners to have a Halloween display! So today I started crafting. I'll pop it up, the few I have made, on Saturday afternoon.
🎃 We would love contributions!
🎃 All ages welcome!
🎃 You can message me on here or phone. I am happy to pick up or arrange a time to meet you or where to leave your masterpieces.
🎃 Just a reminder...everything needs to be weather proof, no paper etc. Also we want to make it recycle/reuse ie using what you have and for example stuffing of a pumpkin, a cat etc can be single-use plastic or old pillow fibres. You get what it mean.
Below i have posted some ideas below but I know your imagination/creativity is much better than mine. 👇

Autumn's twilight hours have come
But our summer colours of red, yellow, blue, white still bloom
and they defy the twilight’s gathering gloom.
Yay to the Castle Green Gardens 💚
Such beauty to enjoy 😍

Our glorious Red Hot Pokers looking magnificent after a hot summer ☀️. Just so majestic and reaching for the skies!
Just in case you didn't know, they are South African! Of course they are! 😁🤪🥰

🌿🐝 MEET THE GREENFLY GARDENER 🐝🌿
*They seek her here, they seek her there,
Those gardeners seek her everywhere!* 🌱

It’s amazing being a greenfly gardener at Castle Green Gardens! 🌸🏵🌺
🌸 I can come and go exactly when I please, do as
much or as little as I like, and nobody expects
me to be there at a particular time.
🏵 I may be elusive, and I might not even be
spotted by anyone! 👀
🌺 But I like to think that people notice the
difference afterwards. 🌿

🏰 WHY CASTLE GREEN?
Castle Green is such an attractive area in Hereford
and none of us want to see the gardens
becoming neglected.
That’s why I was so pleased to meet Monica and join her team of volunteers, to help keep the gardens looking beautiful for everyone to enjoy 💚
🌱 I just go along when I have a spare half hour, a
spare morning… or just feel like it!
🌱 Sometimes, once I get started, that half hour
turns into a whole morning! 😁
🌱 I take the tools I need, my trusty bucket with
the Greenfly Gardeners' logo, and choose an
area to clear or tidy.
🌱 It's very satisfying to looking back afterwards
and see the improvement — even if it’s only a
small patch. ✨

🧤 IT'S EASY TO BE A VOLUNTEER.
You can:
🌿 Work on your own or go along with a friend/s
🌿 Join one of Monica’s periodic “Flash Mob”
gardening sessions
🌿 And you’ll have the encouragement from
like minded volunteers.
🌿 You'll find it very rewarding so do come and
join us!

🙌 ITS GRATIFYING WHEN
🍃 Passers-by notice what you are doing
🍃 Stop and express their appreciation
🍃 You feel you are doing your bit for the
community around you
And this happens quite often! So...perhaps I'm not so elusive after all! 🤭
