Huge congratulations to F and S on your wedding day! 💍💍

Thank you for trusting me to design a bespoke bridal bouquet 💐 It’s always a lovely change to use my floristry skills and knowledge to design something different and unique, not off Pinterest or social media.

The bride wanted to use some of her favourite flowers, fabulous different varieties of colourful dahlias locally sourced from dahlia specialists. She gathered them personally on Friday afternoon because of the severe heat, together with dahlias for all the bridesmaids and little flower girl.

A hand-made frame was created from special floristry wires which took 3 hours of preparation before placing flowers throughout it. The pompoms were extremely delicate so I had to wire and tape each one and place them carefully through the framework. I was in love with these cute little dahlias. The groom wore a bespoke zantedeschia buttonhole embellished with eucalyptus, hypericum berries and trails of ceropegia woodii.

It was so lovely being asked by a friend who is a flower arranger to just design the small party of bridal flowers as she designed the church, reception, and the other buttonholes for their guests. A special moment for the bride’s mother.

This was the first wedding that I have not designed all of the flowers, so I had time to relax and enjoy working on the bridal flowers through the night. The wedding was attended by close members of their family and friends 🩷
