Our completely wonderful Emma and Al.

As soon as we met these two we really hoped they would choose us for their wedding. The kindest humans with the biggest smiles, we knew it would be beyond an honour to host their celebrations. And it really was. The most beautiful day from start to finish - no notes.

Bring the fiesta!

At Broadfield, we love a feast and that buzzy fiesta type feel during your wedding breakfast. Cara and Jack’s August wedding in our fold yard marquee was a perfect example of that vibe - huge paellas, flowing fizz and a hubbub of chatter and laughter.

The brilliant Las Tapitas set up their paella pans in the courtyard and served guests tapas, paella and pudding sharing style. A gorgeous festival feel and some very well fed guests, what’s not to love?

An absolute ray of sunshine, our lovely Millie.

Millie married her Jake last month at Broadfield, and that gorgeous smile didn’t leave her face all day. One of the loveliest people you could ever meet, she and Jake were a dream of a couple, and their day was so full of love and fun.

And we loved Millie’s bridal look - elegant and stylish with a dash of screen siren thrown in. A great reminder too of how much we love a full length veil 🤍

The cut out heart race…

The ‘cut-out heart race’ is an old German wedding tradition that involves a race to cut out half a heart shape, drawn on a bed sheet by the couple’s friends who hold the sheet for the couple to cut before walking through the heart. We’d never seen it before but it was such a fun moment at Anna and Bob’s wedding, and an ideal way to start the confetti run. It symbolises ‘overcoming the first challenge of their life as a married couple’ and apparently the one to win the race can make all the big decisions in the marriage…(We think this might be why the winner was rather contested!)

We absolutely love when couples bring new ideas and traditions to Broadfield. What would you bring?

Our first wedding of the year and what a wedding it was 🤍
