Hey guys?? What’s the Crack? let me introduce the next bio, if you Will. Known for his Cracking hard trance tunes that is sure to Abuse the dancefloor. It’s Trance Sessions own DJ Spark-E.

Next in the Pipe-line are the big boys, starting with Tones.

🎧 DJ BIO: SPARK-E 🎧

Rooted in the sound, built from the underground — this is Spark-E.

From the tender age of just 14 years old, Spark-E knew exactly where his heart belonged: behind the decks, immersed in the energy of underground dance music. He got his very first set of turntables early on — classic Sound Lab belt drives — and threw himself into mastering his craft, cutting his teeth on the raw power of hardcore before expanding his sonic vision. As the years unfolded, he naturally ventured deep into the high-octane worlds of Freeform and Hard Trance, quickly becoming a master of these high-energy styles.

Vinyl has always been in his blood — he began amassing a massive, carefully curated record collection from an early age, a true treasure trove that taught him the art of selection, flow, and what really moves a crowd. His big break came with his first ever booking at the legendary Spunky in Hereford, where his talent shone so bright he earned a residency that lasted for many incredible years.

Since then, Spark-E has taken his sound across the UK and beyond, playing at some of the biggest and most respected events in the scene: iconic names like Timewarp, the HTE Weekender, and even taking his sound international with sets in Malta.

But his impact on the local scene runs deepest of all: Spark-E is the founder and driving force behind Hereford’s own Trance Sessions. What started as a passion project has grown from strength to strength over 4 incredible years, evolving into one of the most loved nights in the region — a true home for the trance family.

Beyond the wax, his vast digital archive spans right back to the early 90s, capturing the pioneering sound of German trance, alongside a staggering library of trance and hard trance classics that make every set a journey through the very best of the genre’s history.

His musical compass has always been guided by the true greats: Sharkey, Kevin Energy, Mark EG, Nick The Kid, Iain Cross, Cocooma, and Nostrum — legends who shaped his style into something instantly recognizable, powerful, and full of heart.

✨ A dedicated selector, a skilled technician, a scene stalwart, and the heartbeat of Trance Sessions — Spark-E delivers pure, unadulterated energy every single time he steps up.

Next up - We’ve got the man on mic duties for the evening Jay-P

Jay-P

Jay-P has been involved in the UK’s harder dance scene since its early days, first becoming part of the scene as a teenager during the early 1990s. Over the years, he has developed into an experienced MC and host, working across everything from old skool events to hardstyle, hard trance and hard techno.

A former resident host for the legendary Bionic events, Jay-P spent years on the mic alongside some of the biggest names to pass through the harder dance scene. He is now a core host for Outrage, one of Wales’ leading harder-styles events, continuing a career that has seen him perform at events and venues across the UK.

Among his appearances are multiple performances at Westfest, as well as hosting for old skool legends and established names from across the hardstyle, hard trance and hard techno scenes.

With decades of experience behind him, Jay-P knows how to work alongside a DJ without taking away from the music. His ability to read a crowd, complement a set and bring energy when it’s needed has made him a familiar voice within the scene.

For Hard Revival, Jay-P will be back on hosting duties, bringing his years of experience on the mic to a night dedicated to the harder sounds he’s been involved with for so many years.

The next bio is for Herefords local hardstyle head, Chojin

Chojin’s passion for electronic music began during his school years, with house and trance providing the soundtrack that first inspired him to become a DJ. After saving up for his first pair of belt-drive Numark turntables and learning with a collection of hand-me-down records, he upgraded to a pair of Technics 1210s a few years later.

His taste soon evolved towards the harder side of dance music. After discovering hard house, he found his true calling through the legendary North tape packs and an Italian hardstyle mix CD by Technoboy. From that point on, early hardstyle became the sound that defined his journey behind the decks.

His first proper night out was to see Lisa Lashes, followed shortly afterwards by Octoberfest in 2004. The first vinyl record he bought was Algebrik by Tronic on Suntec Records, beginning a collection that would continue to grow alongside his love for hardstyle.

Chojin’s first club residency came at Spunky in 2005, where he remained a regular right through to the final event. He also became a resident at Bionic, earning several appearances on the main stage, including sharing the bill with one of his biggest influences, Technoboy.

Throughout his career he has performed alongside many of the biggest names in hardstyle, including Headhunterz, Dana, Blutonium Boy, Daniele Mondello, Activator, Trance Generators and many more. One of his standout memories was handing the decks over to D-Block & S-te-Fan at The Capital.

Away from the larger events, Chojin has appeared at Ravers Reunited, Horizon, Octane, Squelcher and many others. He also promoted his own Hereford event, Virus, bringing artists such as Brian M Vs McBunn, Frisky, The Yofridiz, Nick the Kid and Kidd Kaos to the city.

Although he enjoys every style of hardstyle—from the classic Italian and Dutch sounds to reverse bass, euphoric and raw—early hardstyle has always remained closest to his heart. For this event he’ll be digging deep into his collection for a full early hardstyle set.

After a period away from the scene, Chojin has recently come out of retirement, returning behind the decks at local events including Trance Sessions, Is This Your Kitchen, Sound Intentionz and now Hard Revival.

Time to “Shift” to the next DJ bio….. 😮

We welcome Shifterz to the party 🔥

Formed by two DJs with decades of experience behind the decks, Shifterz brings together a shared passion for early hardstyle and the harder side of dance music. Between them they’ve played everywhere from local UK events to some of Europe’s biggest clubs and festivals, while never losing sight of the music that first got them hooked.

Toby AKA The Apprentice

Toby’s introduction to DJing came at the age of 14 when he bought his first setup from a mate at school—a pair of Numark TT1550 belt-drive turntables, a Homemix Mix 2 mixer, and a bundle of hard house and hardstyle vinyl. It didn’t take long before he was completely hooked.

Some of the first records that made an impression on him included DJ Yves – Total Confusion, DJ Nation – X-***ed Sessions Part 2, and Organ Donors – Locked Tight, helping to shape the energetic style of music he still enjoys today.

His first rave was Westfest in 2007. Travelling there by train, he spent the entire night in the hardcore arena, and from that moment on there was no looking back. Throughout his late teens and twenties, he travelled the length and breadth of the country with his best mate Sammy, rarely missing the opportunity to attend the UK’s biggest harder dance events.

While he can’t remember the very first DJ he saw, a few names have always stood out. M-Zone, Scorpio and Vortex were the artists he was always happiest to see on a line-up. For Toby, the legendary back room sound remains a huge influence to this day.

His own DJ journey has since taken him much further than he ever imagined. Performing under a previous alias, he went on to play at internationally recognised events including Ibiza, Masters of Hardcore, Harmony of Hardcore and Ground Zero—experiences that he describes as truly life-changing.

Lloyd AKA S.O.D. – Soundz of Distortion

Lloyd, better known as S.O.D. (Soundz of Distortion), has been DJing for over 20 years. While early hardstyle has always been his first love, he has also spent many years playing uptempo hardcore and Frenchcore, building a reputation for high-energy sets across the UK and Europe.

His journey began with a pair of KAM belt-drive turntables at the age of 18 before progressing to Technics MK5Gs. He later moved over to a limited edition blue set of Pioneer CDJ-400s, expanding his setup while continuing to evolve his sound.

The first record he ever bought was Trance Generators – You Can’t Stop Us (IG Bounce Remix), a track that perfectly reflected the harder sound he would continue to follow throughout his career.

His first rave was Contact in Portsmouth, while his first major European event was Q-BASE in 2012. Although he can’t remember the very first DJ he saw perform, the artist who truly inspired him to take DJing more seriously was Dr Peacock, whose sets left a lasting impression.

Over the years Lloyd has played countless UK events including Darkside, Infexious, Hardstyle Superheroes and Soldiers of Core. Internationally, he has performed in Ibiza, Belgium, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Standout appearances include Es Paradis and Eden in Ibiza, Hardshock Festival in the Netherlands, and Turbinenhalle in Germany—the loudest venue he has ever played.

Shifterz

Together, Toby and Lloyd combine decades of experience, a genuine love for early hardstyle and a shared appreciation for the music that shaped the scene. As Shifterz, they bring that passion to every set, blending classic sounds with the energy and experience gained from playing clubs, festivals and events across the UK and Europe.

👀 First dj bio. Expect one every weekend now leading up to the event 🔥

FreemanDJ b2b Hardstyle Kyle -

FreemanDJ and Hardstyle Kyle have been friends since childhood, sharing a passion for the harder styles of dance music that goes back over two decades.

FreemanDJ

FreemanDJ bought his first set of decks in 2000, starting out on a pair of belt-drive Numarks before quickly upgrading to direct drives just six months later. His record collection began in 1999 with hardcore and happy hardcore, before buying his first hardstyle record in 2001 – Jimmy The Sound – L.O.G.I.C.O., a track that helped shape his love for the genre.

The first live act he ever saw was Cally & Juice at the Crystal Rooms in Hereford—so long ago it was before they started wearing make-up. That early experience helped fuel a passion for the harder styles that would eventually lead him behind the decks himself.

In 2005, after winning a DJ competition for Spunky in Hereford, he secured a monthly residency. Starting on the opening “graveyard shift” sets, he worked his way up to warming up for respected names including Mark EG, M-Zone, Juice and Cally, as well as international artists such as Activator and A.S.Y.S. He also played on the harder dance stage at the legendary Nozstock Festival.

Between 2009 and 2011, FreemanDJ promoted his own events before stepping away from DJing and packing the decks away. Around 2017, he dusted them off and returned to recording mixes, reigniting his passion for vinyl and the harder styles.

His mixing style is energetic and unpredictable. He likes to keep things interesting, often fitting around 30 tracks into a one-hour set while maintaining a fast-paced flow.

Hardstyle Kyle

Hardstyle Kyle’s journey into DJing began at the age of 13 when he bought his first set of SoundLab belt-drive turntables from a mate. The first vinyl record he owned was Francino – 999 on NUKLEUZ, marking the beginning of a lifelong passion for harder dance music.

His first rave was North 33 at Lakota, and the very first track he heard as he walked through the doors was Noise Tool. That night left a lasting impression and cemented his love for the scene. As the sound evolved from trance into hard trance and eventually early hardstyle, so did his taste. The harder the kick drums became, the more he was drawn in every time.

Kyle went on to play at small local events before progressing to free parties during the early days of Chemically Driven Sounds. His first club booking came at the legendary Lakota, taking his passion from underground parties to one of the UK’s most iconic venues.

A dedicated vinyl collector and lifelong fan of the harder styles, Hardstyle Kyle continues to bring the same enthusiasm behind the decks today as he did when he first started all those years ago.

Hard Revival

After years of travelling to work together and talking about the lack of early hardstyle events in the UK, FreemanDJ and Hardstyle Kyle decided to do something about it. Those conversations eventually became Hard Revival—a night dedicated to keeping the sound alive.

The aim has always been simple: bring together established UK artists, local talent from wherever the event is held, and internationally respected names to create an authentic early hardstyle experience. Since launching the brand, Hard Revival has welcomed artists including - Mzone , Sharkey, Louk, Chuck-e and prestige international artists such as - Trance Generator, Jimmy The Sound, and now Davide Sonar.

Together, FreemanDJ and Hardstyle Kyle continue to share the music they grew up with, hoping to introduce a new generation to early hardstyle while giving long-time fans the chance to relive it.
