🎉 Exciting News for Henley Memorial Hall! 🎉

We are thrilled to officially announce that we have been awarded a £42,500 grant from Stratford-on-Avon District Council’s Community Grant Scheme!

If you've visited us recently, you know our current foyer still features draughty 1960s single-glazing and heavy, manual doors. Thanks to this funding, we will soon be installing:

🚪 Modern automated doors to ensure seamless, step-free access for wheelchair users, pushchairs, and anyone needing extra support

🌿 High-performance glazing to improve energy efficiency and keep the hall warm and green

🔑 A key fob access system to make hirings simpler and reduce reliance on our volunteers

📹 CCTV & security to keep our historic hall safe

As our Hall Committee Chairman Ian Smedley shared:
“This grant allows us to honour our building's history by ensuring it remains completely welcoming, inclusive, and accessible to the entire community, while furthering our commitment to a greener future.”

Works are scheduled to start soon, stay tuned for updates!
