We are overwhelmed and incredibly grateful to share that we have raised an amazing £1,017.50 for Dementia UK. 💙

This started as a simple idea with our ceramic forget-me-nots has been made possible by the kindness and generosity of so many wonderful people in our community.

To everyone who sponsored me, donated, purchased a forget-me-not, shared our fundraiser, or offered words of encouragement — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Every single contribution has helped us reach this incredible total and support the vital work that Dementia UK does for families facing the challenges of dementia every day.

The forget-me-not flower is a symbol of remembrance, love, and hope, making it especially meaningful for this cause. Seeing so many people come together in support has been truly touching.

We are so proud of what we’ve achieved together and so thankful to have such amazing customers and supporters here in Hemel Hempstead.

Thank you for helping us make a difference. 💙🌼

We will be continuing to sell these beautiful forget-me-nots and on the 20th of June we are also holding a tea party at the Florist, where tea, coffee and plenty of cakes will be on sale. All proceeds for this amazing cause.
So please come on down and join us.
We don’t need a reason to have tea and cake, but if we did, I couldn’t think of a better one.
☕️🍰

Hello all,
As a florist we hear lots of reasons why people are buying our flowers, many beautiful and lovely reasons, but we also get to hear the heartbreaking stories of losing a loved one.
I myself lost my own father two years ago, he had dementia for many years. I hear so many customers who have lost their loved ones , that also suffered from this cruel disease.
So I have decided to take on the 31 miles in May challenge for dementia.
I am not asking for your donations,(but if you would like to, that would be lovely) We will be selling ceramic forget-me-nots, and all money will go to this very important charity .
Please pop in to buy your forget-me-not and help support this worthy charity.
Thank you so much for your continued support to our florist .

The forget-me-not flowers will be on sale during May.

Thank you to those who have decided to make a donation, please pop in during May, and collect your free forget-me-not flower as a personal thank you from me. ❤️

Hi there, This month, I’m walking 31 Miles for Dementia UK – a cause close to my heart. Just £10 could pay for the telephone costs of two families calling its free Dementia Helpline, so any support would be appreciated. Thank you so much!

My Mother’s Day flowers are still going strong.

This year I received my own Mother’s Day bouquet of flowers. (Yes from the florist Boxmoor)

I always hear from my customers , that their flowers have lasted so well.
I am writing this because I can definitely agree!

I received my flowers last Sunday.
It was a lovely surprise to me as my daughter had arranged this with Lauren, without my knowledge.
(I apparently arranged them myself, hidden by a fake order)🤣

I have since receiving them, cared for them to help them last and to be their best.
When I received them, I cut the stems and put them into fresh water in a clean vase, placed them on my kitchen table to enjoy.
They have nice light, but are not in the direct sunlight.
After day three, I took them out, recut the stems, washed the vase with a drop of bleach and filled with fresh water.
By day five I needed to take out the two stems of spray roses that had gone over, but the rest were still thriving.
We are now day eight and I cut the tie, taken off any dried up lower leave, re cut the stems , cleaned the vase and filled with fresh water again.
They still look great, the alstroemeria have now open into full bloom.
The other flowers look as good as the day I received them.
The picture below was taken this morning!

Flowers are a wonderful gift, they really do add a little something special to your home. Please take care of them so you can also get long enjoyment out of them too.
