We've worked closely in the past with the fab team at that is delivering this BRAND NEW FREE festival over in Newquay!

So much is happening and lots more is being announced soon. We don't have an event on in Helston on 6th September, and so you have our permission to head over to Newquay for the day! 😁

Presented by Groundswell, LOOK OUT! is a free, one-day festival landing on Saturday 6th September. The jam-packed programme features: street theatre and music, installations and circus performance, community stalls and drop-in activities, and much more! Spread over three sites, this brand-new festival is a celebration of creativity, connection and community across the town. Look out for local and national acts… on the beach, streets and green spaces of Newquay.

Local resident Nigel Geach is turning his 60th birthday into something bigger - climbing Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Cornwall's men's mental health charity.

🏔️ Join us for a special fundraising evening with guitarist Tom Briggs (5th Sept, 7.30pm) where you'll hear brilliant live music spanning blues, funk and acoustic ballads, plus learn about both Nigel's incredible challenge and Man Down's vital work supporting men across Cornwall.

We need your needlework skills for something a bit different - bringing local children's designs to life on pew cushions ✂️

Whether you're already handy with cross stitch or fancy learning something new, come join Sharon Tuby (the seaside quilter) and help create our new pew cushion seating!

Pop in between 10.30-1.30pm on 29th August for stitching, cake, and good company.

Take a pack home or stay and stitch with us - all ages welcome, no booking needed.
