The SOUNDS OF SIMON perform The Music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel - Old Friends at HAC on Sun 28 June, 7.30pm!

As seen on BBC The One Show!

The Sounds of Simon is a tribute to the wonderful music of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, through the years as Simon and Garfunkel, to the successes of both their solo careers. Explore the friendship that led to songs such as Mrs Robinson, The Sounds of Silence and of course, Bridge Over Troubled Water. The full band will also take you through the pair’s solo careers, with songs such as You Can Call Me Al, Graceland, and Art’s smash hit, Bright Eyes. Paul and Art are played to perfection, bringing in elements of their famously fractious relationship, as well as replicating the beautiful harmonies flawlessly. With video clips, stories, and memories from the last 50+ years, this is a wonderful show filled with excellent music, nostalgia, and a genuine love for some great musicians. This is the UK’s longest running tribute to Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. Come and see why!

"A very, very fine piano player indeed" ~ Paul Jones, BBC Radio 2
"Dale is the best New Orleans player I've ever heard" ~ Richard Hawley

Dale Storr - The Sound of New Orleans - Fri 3 July, 7.30pm!

Described by Jazz Journal magazine as the “piano man’s piano man…” and “a national treasure” , Dale Storr’s musical journey has now brought him recognition as one of the UK’s leading exponents of New Orleans piano.

Inspired by his parents record collection of early Rhythm n’ Blues and Rock n’ Roll, the evocative music of New Orleans quickly became a passion for the young pianist. He immersed himself into the styles of heroes like Dr.John, James Booker, Professor Longhair, Allen Toussaint, Fats Domino and Huey ‘Piano’ Smith to name but a few.

"Storr’s music is authentic barrelhouse pianism and singing and should be on the play list of all broad minded jazz lovers" ~ Jazz Journal magazine
