Santa’s Christmas Truck Drive-By

Hi all,

As we move into November and people may be starting to think about Christmas, we wanted to let you know that we’ve made the difficult decision to stop doing the Santa Drive-By. This hasn’t been an easy decision, as we know it’s become a tradition for many of you.

The Santa Drive-By was originally meant to be a one-time event during the pandemic. We realised that many children (my own included) were missing out on the magic of Christmas, with social distancing and bubbles meaning that most Christmas activities were cancelled. We then expanded the idea, adding a few more vehicles to the convoy over the following four years.

In recent years, shortly after our convoy, the local Tractor Run has followed, and it has grown into a huge spectacle, covering much of the same route. It seems to us that having two similar events so close together may no longer be necessary, especially given the large commitment involved in preparing the trucks.

While this may come as a great disappointment to some, we hope you’ll support the Christmas Eve Tractor Run.

We will be working on the route timings tomorrow (Monday 12th) try to get it as accurate as we can, so your not out in the cold for to long.

We will post at 4:30-5pm tomorrow (Monday 12th)We are also adding a few more vehicles for the convoy and make it bigger and better than before.
