Running a wedding venue means I don’t get the opportunity to be away much during the spring and summer months.

September and October have therefore become my months of making plans before the winter season begins. With our recent and very spontaneous trip to the souks in Marrakesh immediately followed by a 3 day trip to I’ve found the past couple of weeks to be incredibly inspiring. I’ve been constantly looking at new ways of incorporating beautiful things into our home and my work life here at Wickerwood Farm.

Styling and interior design is a real and very strong passion of mine. Visiting markets both here, in Europe and Morocco over recent years, I’ve discovered I’m not only gathering new treasures, I’m also gathering new and unique ideas and I’m here for it!

With my step count averaging 15,000 each day over the past week or so I think I might put my feet up this weekend and enjoy my newly found treasures! 🫶

Back on a very warm, sunny and early September Saturday, Alan and Daisy said their vows in front of their loved ones under the dappled light of the tree canopy here at Wickerwood Farm and what a special day it was.

Alan, Daisy and their guests stayed over the night before the wedding, filling our glamping meadow to full capacity. Large pamper tents with H&MU stations, toilets and shower units were available for all, allowing everyone the opportunity to kick back and enjoy Wickerwood for the full 3 day hire period. No cabs required here that weekend ✋

Everyone basked under clear blue skies and warm sunshine for the full duration of their stay. Fantastic locally sourced BBQ food was prepared for all to see and then served and enjoyed for the wedding breakfast under the canvas of the tipi. Guests played croquet amongst other games and drank fine wine until their hearts content, all whilst the band played on 🎶 It’s safe to say everyone had a great time. I’ve never seen so many fiercely competitive wedding guests desperate to win the egg and spoon race!

This was a wedding created with love by our lovely couple and one I’d have here again in a heartbeat.

26 years.. I’m not quite sure how thats happened, time flies eh?

There’s been many highs and some lows on this journey we call life but I’m happy to be living it with this one.

Our journey over the past 17 years of living at Wickerwood Farm has been some of the happiest and most rewarding which I’m so grateful for.

Happy anniversary to this one and here’s to many more years of memory making! 🥂

REWIND TO AUGUST // What better way to kick start 2025 than to share a few select images from a brand new gallery kindly shared by of a very special couple who got married here on a warm summers days back in August. ☀️

The most beautiful of ceremonies took place here led by a very dear friend of our brides Raj and Eva whilst guests watched on sat beneath the shade of the tree canopy by the waters edge. Their special day continued to unfold under the warm summer skies and into the night and it will be a day I will fondly remember for many years to come.

Thank you for choosing Wickerwood Farm Raj and Eva and I wish you both all the happiness in your future together. 💕

THANK YOU // I’d like to dedicate todays post to everyone who has made the magic happen at Wickerwood Farm this summer, it’s been an incredible summer here.

Thank you to our trusted tipi company for all your hard work with each event, the caterers, photographers, videographers, bands, acoustic musicians, cake makers, florists, celebrants, bell tent companies, serving staff, shower and toilet company, even the donkeys that absolutely stole the show here last weekend and of course not forgetting who’s currently smashing Instagram with her woodland ceremony entrance currently sitting at 1.4 million views..! ‘Thank you’ to you all!

Lastly and most importantly thank you to our amazing couples, you’ve all been an absolute pleasure and joy to work with over the past year or so and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know you and help make your dream wedding come to fruition. Wishing you all the happiness. Jude xx
