Tomorrow is 80 years to the day since Victory in Europe…

Come and celebrate HEATHFIELD’S VE DAY 80 NATIONAL BEACON LIGHTING from 7.30pm at Cade Street Recreation Ground, Old Heathfield…

There will be a burger van, music, Cake And Wine Club Choir performing and drinks will be available from The Half Moon Inn…

At 8pm after the civic service at All Saints Church, Heathfield District Bonfire Society will lead a torchlit procession along with, other local organisations and schools, making it’s way from The Star Inn to the war memorial on Cade Street…

At 8.30pm there will be a tribute laying ceremony at the war memorial…

The lighting of the beacon will then take place at 9.30pm in line with the rest of the nation…
