Baton of Hope - Derby 13th Sept - Volunteers needed

We will be helping run the Cathedral Green Area with a Performance space and a making area. We'll be on site form 8am til 9pm, live from 12pm. If you can help please message us here.

🌿 Our final Summer Reading Challenge event is on Saturday morning at Allestree Library. Will we see you there, for some colossal garden collage creations???!

GREEN FINGERS! - with Furthest from the Sea
Come and explore your local library and discover a doorway to the great outdoors. Inspired by fun facts and wild imaginations, get creative with Furthest from the Sea’s artists and make your very own colossal garden collage full of plants, flowers, creatures and more.

These Summer Reading Challenge sessions are free for children aged 4 – 11. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Spaces are limited so booking in advance is essential, by phone or in person at the library.

Furthest from the Sea Music, Comedy & Arts is a not for profit arts organisation championing homegrown arts and founded in Derbyshire. Sessions are supported by Derby Libraries.

☀️ We're having a wonderful week of collosal garden collages, as part of the Summer Reading Challenge with Derby Libraries. It's been extra special to be able to take a couple of sessions outside into beautiful garden spaces.

🤩 The first of our Summer Reading Challenge events was full of imagination and concentration! - take a peek at some of the wonderful gardens created by a room full of budding artists.

🌿 We're back throughout the week at four more libraries across the city - get in touch with your local library to book a free place (details below).

We're bringing Derby Folk Festival's Market Place Stage indoors this year - and there could be a space in the programme with your name on it.

Get in touch if you're up for a spot of singing, music, spoken word...or something otherwise gloriously folk-y. Performances will run inside Derby Market Hall throughout the day on Saturday 11th October to a 9pm finish. We can cover expenses, and can guarantee you'll stay dry 😆
