🚜🌾 An exciting new event is coming to Pembrokeshire! 🌾🚜

We'd like to help spread the word about the very first Pembrokeshire Silage Day at Slade Hall Farm in Haverfordwest – a brand-new event celebrating all things grass farming, bringing together both vintage and modern machinery.

The day will feature:
🚜 Live machinery demonstrations
🛍️ Trade stands
🍔 Food vendors
🍻 A beer tent

…and plenty more for the local farming community and machinery enthusiasts to enjoy.

Yesterday, our Show Presidents took part in the traditional Beating of the Bounds Ceremony in Haverfordwest – a wonderful occasion celebrating Pembrokeshire’s rich heritage and strong sense of community 🔵

We were delighted to welcome a group of students from Finland to spend a few days working with us as part of their exchange programme with Pembrokeshire College. 🇫🇮

They were an absolute pleasure to have on site, showing enthusiasm, professionalism and a fantastic work ethic throughout their time with us. We were incredibly impressed by how hard they worked and how quickly they became part of the team.

Opportunities like this highlight the value of our strong partnership with Pembrokeshire College and the wider international links that help young people gain valuable experience, skills and cultural exchange opportunities.

💙 MORE THAN A SHOW | MWY NA SIOE 💙

Most people know us for hosting the Pembrokeshire County Show each August, but thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, we're able to do so much more throughout the year.

That's why we've recently changed our name from Pembrokeshire County Show to Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society.

While we're incredibly proud to host Wales' largest county show over two days every August — and it will always remain the highlight of our year, we're equally excited to showcase everything else that happens here, because we are 🌾

We're a year-round events centre, hosting a wide range of events including our two-day Christmas Fair, the Pembrokeshire Food & Farming Awards, Food Stori Bwyd, Health & Wellbeing Show, Spring Equine Show, and Agricultural Careers Fair.

We also welcome a variety of external events, such as the Pembrokeshire Wedding Fayre, and our site is home to fantastic businesses and organisations, including Pembrokeshire Farm Vets, Meadow Carpets and Haverfordwest Gymnastics Club.

None of this would be possible without the dedication, passion and hard work of our volunteers. From helping to organise events and maintain our showground to supporting visitors, exhibitors and our wider community, our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do — not just during Show week, but all year round.

To mark the end of the 2026 Volunteers' Week, we'd like to say a huge thank you to every volunteer who gives their time to help our Society thrive. Your contribution enables us to continue supporting agriculture, rural life and a vibrant calendar of events throughout the year.

Because we're not just a show. We're a community. We're 💙🌾

They are proudly standing up for British farming, raising awareness of mental health in agriculture, and supporting farming mental health charities along the way! 🚜
