AVAST ALL HASTINGS PIRATES!... One month to go until we sail... be part of the GREAT BUCCANEERS PROCESSION... a firm favourite part of the event, that's open to all PIRATES ☠️!!
As the Pirate Capital of the World, our Parade of Blaggards and Cut Throats should befit and this year we ask all non Pirate landlubbers to watch the parade from along it's route from Harold place, along the seafront to The Stade open space. The parade is free ( donations welcome)and open to all in Pirate dress...However due to the number of civvies tagging along in recent years we will be monitoring entrants to ensure that this is a spectacle to behold, therefore we will be enforcing the definition of Pirate dress as we had to in 2012 to gain our still held World record ( with the exception of stewards and event officials... although they are encouraged!)
To qualify we ask you to wear 4 items from the list...
*Pirate hat or bandanaa
* striped or plain t shirt, shirt or blouse
*tatty or rolled up trousers, pantaloons or pirate style skirt *an accessory such as sword,eye patch, a musket, pirate flag or parrot...
We encourage those with prams, scooters and wheelchairs to dress those too, well behaved Pirate dogs and parrots, let your imagination run with it!...
It's a simple enough costume for anyone to put together and many of our Brethren go to great efforts for this great event...so let's make this the biggest and best Pirate Parade in the World! Please respect the conditions to participate and for those that want to stay in your civvies or Primarni finest , enjoy the parade from the spectators areas! ... FORM UP from 11.15, Robertson street and Cambridge road pedestrian areas... SAIL AT NOON! ... 20.07.2025...BE THERE!!🏴‍☠️🍻🏴‍☠️
